Our description

Antigone Hotel is a quality accommodation with a swimming pool located in a quiet location. Given that many want to be located around the capital, this is a great choice if you want to have peace, a large backyard because of the children, a swimming pool and a great base to visit the most beautiful beaches on the island.

The two-star Antigone Hotel is located in the center of Limenas, at Pier Mie Vampez, across from the Pavlidis parking lot, about fifty meters from the archeological site that houses the remains of Zeus and Hera's gates. It is about 500 meters away from the city center, and about a kilometer from the city beach.

It is a nice hotel complex with a well decorated and very large yard and bar and a swimming pool.

There are 10 spacious studios (thirty squares) available for up to three people. Each studio has a kitchenette (hot plate, aspirator, fridge, sink, dishes, crockery, electric jug), a separate bathroom with shower and a balcony overlooking one or the other side of the yard and surrounding buildings, greenery and hills and mountains in the distance. There is a mosquito net on the balcony door. The furniture in the studios is modern and of high quality. Each has two single beds or a double bed. From one of the beds pulls out a drawer containing a bed for a third person.

The studios are air-conditioned and feature an LCD TV, refrigerator, safe, hairdryer and wireless internet signal. All studios are located on the first floor.

The hotel also has one apartment (about 35m2) which consists of two rooms, a bedroom and a living room and can accommodate three to four people. It has one double bed and in the living room one singl bed and one extra pull-out bed. There are also double, triple and quadruple suite studios (32m2) which differ from ordinary studios in that they are somewhat more modern and comfortable. There are two double suites that have two connected single beds between which there is no space and two more drawer beds can be pulled out from the side, so these units can accommodate up to four people. Another triple suite on offer has two connected single beds with no space in between, as well as one single bed, while, in the case of a fourth person, another drawer bed can be pulled out. The apartment and suite studios are located on the ground floor.

The studio is cleaned daily and towels and linen are changed every three days. Roasting in the accommodation units is prohibited and the usage of the frying pan also.

The yard is nicely landscaped and fenced, with walkways and a part with grass. There is also a porch under the shade where you can hang out and spend time.

Free parking is possible on the ground extension, on the street, next to the hotel's courtyard fence.

When leaving the ferry, follow the direction to the right and drive along the sea by the main road (about 300 meters). When you come to the part where the shortcut straight leads to the Vournelis Hotel and the beach of the same name, you follow the main road and turn left. When you reach the first big intersection (with Dimitriadou Street) after about 150 meters, continue straight (about 350 meters) until the next large intersection (with Thassos - Prinos). Turn left there, then after some 650 meters turn left again (the fifth street on the left) into Pier Mie Vampez Street, after 500 meters to the right you will see the Antigone Hotel. Realistically, the hotel is much closer to the center and the sea, but since the streets leading from the new port to the center are one-way, it is advisable to reach the hotel in the way described.

The first market is about 500m away.

Hotel Antigone is close to all amenities in town - promenades, shops, restaurants. Limenas is an excellent choice as a base for going around because it is close to the most beautiful beaches - Marble (6km), Makryammos (2km), La Scala (4km), Pachis (8km).

Hotel Antigone is located in a quiet location, just a five minute gentle stroll from the center of Thassos Town (Limenas). We offer spacious and fully-equipped studios with views to the beautiful green mountains, as well as an apartment of contemporary design which promises to serve the needs of those that desire some additional comfort. The beautiful green exterior of our hotel, consisting of a lovely garden and swimming pool, combines perfectly with the elegance and coziness of the accommodations. Guests are welcome to enjoy our facilities throughout the day. Our swimming pool, pool bar, barbecue in the garden, and wireless internet are just a few to name. There is also plenty of space next to our hotel where guests can safely park their cars. The staff of our hotel are always available to assist you, and will do everything to help make your holidays on Thassos island a truly unforgettable experience.

Our hotel is just a 5 minute drive from the ferry port of Thassos Town and is very easy to find following the main roads. From our studios, you can walk downtown to enjoy the many different taverns, restaurants, and bars that Limenas has to offer. Besides those options, Limenas has plenty of archaeological sites scattered throughout the town which you can explore and appreciate the rich history of Thassos. Care to lay on a sandy beach during most of your holidays? The beautiful beach of Makryammos is just a 5 minute drive or 20 minute walk from here, and the beaches of Thassos Town are even nearer. If you enjoy a little bit of nightlife then Thassos Town is the right place to be, offering numerous clubs and bars both inside and outside of town.
