Skala Fourka is a very small town on the Kasandra peninsula on Halkidiki, about 100km from Thessaloniki.

It has a sandy beach, with crystal clear water. The bottom is mostly the sand, with the exception of a meter or two of rocks at the entrance, and then the sand and a shoal again. The colour of the water is very nice, green-blue, because of the conifers in the surroundings.

On the shore just beside the beach, there are two nice taverns with fantastic sea view, but also a big number of private houses owned by the Greeks from Thessaloniki. For that reason, the approach to the beach can be more distant from the accommodation than it really is, since you cannot go through private households. This is why there’s no promenade by the sea, but a big and nicely arranged square where social life takes place, with most of the cafes, stores, restaurants and several playrooms for children.

There are two supermarkets in Skala Fourka, Masoutis and Arvaniditis, so tourists have the possibility of affordable supplying. For a bigger shopping, lively nightlife and more interesting evening walk Kalithea is only 10km away, Hanioti is also nearby, and surely the places on the west coast, Siviri and Nea Skioni.

Skala Fourka is a great resort for those who’d want to spend a summer vacation in a peaceful place, without attractive contents for tourists.
