On this island there are more than 60 beaches for every taste, sandy, gravel, stone, combined... What completely surprised me is that the entire stretch from Thessaloniki to Thassos and Keramoti has also beautiful sandy beaches, but let start with Thassos.

It is known that Thassos is popular because of the beautiful beaches that are almost all outside the populated places.

The most famous and most beautiful sandy beaches are Paradise Beach, Pachis, the entire bay Golden Beach which includes the beach in Skala Potamia, Makryammos, Psili Ammos, Alyki, San Antonio and smaller beaches Notos, Atspas, St.Anna, Tarsanas, Papalimani, La Scala, Nisteri, Glyfoneri. Even if you only visit the sandy beaches you will have plenty of them to visit another one every day or even two different.

Potos, Skala Sotiros, Skala Rachoni, and Limenas have sandy town beach.

Interestingly, the places that are on the stretch from Thessaloniki to Keramoti also linked with a long, sandy coastline.

Keramoti is closest to Thassos and has a fantastic, wide and several kilometers long, sandy beach awarded with the Blue Flag. The beach bars are great, with parking in the shade, comfortable loungers and canopy.

Kavala is a beautiful city with a few sandy beaches in the immediate area, Palio, Kalamitsi, Batis...

Nea Iraklitsa is a wonderful coastal town with a long sandy beach 2km long.

The absolute winner of the beauty and fine sand, throughout northern Greece is Ammolofoi beach that belongs to the beautiful town of Nea Peramos. This beach is absolutely enchanting with golden color of sand like powder, gradual depth, beautifully decorated bars, large car parks and nature in the background.

Bay that connects Asprovalta, Nea Vrasna and Stavros, including smaller places of Paralia Vrasnon, Ofryniou beach is mostly sand and organized.
