Recently, an integrated electronic toll collection system with a tag that can be used in both Serbia and North Macedonia has started functioning.

To obtain a TAG for North Macedonia, you need to follow these steps:

If you already have a prepaid tag device, you need to reconfigure it at one of the authorized offices.

  • Offices of Putevi Srbije:
    • Ustanička 64 / V floor, Belgrade
    • Bulevar Kralja Petra I 28a, Novi Sad
    • Braće Stanić 45, Čačak
    • Prilaz Bulevar 12, 4. februar, Niš
    • Mobile sales point for ETC within the toll station Preševo
  • Post Offices of Serbia:
    • Takovska br.2, Belgrade
    • Narodnih heroja broj 2, Novi Sad
    • Kralja Petra I broj 30, Kragujevac
    • Voždova br.13, Niš

You can also reconfigure the tag at the offices of the Auto-moto Savez Srbije.

Click on this link to see the step-by-step configuration guide for the tag: https://openbalkan-etc.com/#uputstvo

Remember to link your payment card with North Macedonia so that the tag is valid in that country as well.

Note: It has been announced that all ENPay application users will be automatically transferred to the web in the near future and their tags will not work within the Open Balkan system for the time being.

If you do not have a TAG device, you need to purchase one. You can do this at the offices of Putevi Srbije or at the Post Offices of Serbia. Here is the link to the list of sales locations for ETC devices at the Post Offices of Serbia: https://www.putevi-srbije.rs/images/putarine/Spisak-prodajnih-mesta-uredjaja-za-ENP-u-Postama-Srbije.pdf

To activate the new TAG and use it in North Macedonia, follow these steps:

Step 1: Purchase a TAG device at one of the authorized sales points mentioned above.
Step 2: Scan the QR code from the contract and enter your information.
Step 3: Enter your payment card details.
Step 4: You will be redirected to the “Open Balkan ETC” web service and receive login information via email.
Step 5: If you want to use the TAG device in North Macedonia, enter your payment card details in the section for this country on the “Open Balkan ETC” web service.

You can find more detailed information about each step here: https://openbalkan-etc.com/front-page/pdf/uputstva/kupovina_novog_uredjaja.pdf

If you have any doubts or questions about using the TAG device, you can email korisnickicentar@putevi-srbije.rs and elektronskanaplata@putevi-srbije.rs, or call 0800-111-004. For more details, visit the Open Balkan website: https://openbalkan-etc.com/#

If you haven’t had the time to purchase a new TAG or reconfigure your existing one, you can use the M card for North Macedonia, which costs 1.6€. For more information about this and the Greek Tag and Open Balkan service, click on this link HERE.
