Our description

Aggelina House is located in a tranquil setting, less than 100m from the sandy Pigadaki beach. In front of the house, there is a parking area, toys for children, and a communal terrace with a splendid sea view, while the owners are unobtrusive and always available.

The house is situated on a small hill, and the beach can be reached by a path between other houses. The beach is only 70m away, sandy, with shallow waters and crystal clear sea, and nearby you will find several taverns. Every day, a van with fresh fruits and vegetables passes along the street next to the beach. The nearest store is on the main road (2.4km) and a bakery is a little before it, approximately 1.6km from the house.

Accommodation consists of four quadruple studios, one triple studio, and one double studio. The quadruple studios are on the first floor, the double studio is on the high ground floor, and the triple studio is on the ground floor.

The triple studio No. 1 has one standard double bed and one narrower than the standard. The kitchen is equipped with basic utensils, a stove, and a small refrigerator. The bathroom has a shower with a curtain, and the terrace has a seating set overlooking the courtyard and parking.

Quadruple studios No. 3 and 4 have one double bed and bunk beds, while No. 2 has one standard double bed and one narrower than the standard. The kitchens are equipped with basic utensils, a stove, and a small refrigerator, with studio No. 2 having a large refrigerator. All bathrooms have a shower with a curtain. All studios have a pass-through terrace with a seating set and a side view of the sea.

Quadruple studio No. 5 has one double bed and bunk beds. The kitchen is equipped with basic utensils, a mini-oven with burners, and a large refrigerator, and the bathroom has a fenced shower tray. The terrace has a seating set and directly overlooks the adjacent building, with a side view of the sea.

The double studio No. 6 is located in a separate building, next to the other studios. In the room, there is a double bed, while the bathroom is in the room next door, but you need to physically step out of the room onto the balcony. The kitchen is very small, with two burners and a small refrigerator located on the balcony. The balcony offers a view of the surrounding hills and partially the sea, with a table and chairs.

The studios are air-conditioned, have mosquito nets, TV, and internet. If necessary, the owner can provide a crib and a high chair for a baby. Towel and linen change is done every 3-4 days, and a washing machine is available at an additional cost.

Within the small courtyard, there are a shower and a barbecue. There is also a communal terrace with a comfortable seating set and a sea view. Sufficient parking space is available in front of the house.

Finding Aggelina House is easy. After turning off the main road towards Sikia beach, continue straight to the road junction. The road on the left leads to Sikia beach, while the one on the right, uphill, leads to Pigadaki beach. After passing the first bay and shortly before Pigadaki beach, you will see a road on the right leading uphill, as well as a sign indicating the turn towards the house. Aggelina House is located at the end of that street.

This house is ideal for families with children who prefer not to change beaches every day but to stay near one excellent beach. The environment is peaceful, making it a perfect spot for relaxation.

Owners description

In the south-east edge of Sithonia peninsula lays one of the oldest villages of Halkidiki, called Sykia. With a population of 3000 inhabitants, it's 160km far from Thessaloniki. There are different versions of the origin of the name. The first is related to the shadow of Mount Athos (in Greek skia), another version came from the paraphrase of the Ancient city of the area (Siggos) which in the passing years became Siggia and in the end Sykia. Moreover, the existence of an old fig tree (Sykia in Greek) that the village was built around is a possible version.

Another site is Koukos, a rocky and high, which is surrounded by a castle and probably there was a prehistoric settlement there.

The area is full of the beautiful coast. All these beautiful beaches are in the foothills of Itamos, a mountain with many roads and paths that lead to its forest. For the comfortable stay of the visitors, there are rooms, campings, restaurants and bars, but above all, there's the hospitality of the local people.

Our accommodation consists of five studios. Three of them have one double and two bunk beds, the fourth has two double beds, while the fifth has one double and a single bed. All studios have equipped kitchen with a mini-stove with oven, refrigerator with freezer and coffee maker, as well as air conditioner, TV, free WiFi internet and a balcony with a view of the fabulous picturesque gulf of the port of Sykia. The accommodation offers convenient parking and a communal area for relaxing, barbecue and a place for the children to play with a marvelous view of Athos. The sea is at about 40m from the studios.

Replacement of bed linen and towels is performed after 3-4 days.

Our studios are at the picturesque cove Pigadaki, 2km away from Sykia junction. You can reach Pigadaki after a few-minute drive by the sea, after the small beach Linaraki. Pigadaki is in a cluster of beaches which constitute the big gulf of Sykia. The visitor can find picturesque taverns with fresh fish in a small distance and beach bars like the famous GOA, as well as organized beaches with sun beds.

At a distance of 10km, there's Sarti village with a beautiful beach and great nightlife.

The visitor can get to know more famous beaches on Sithonia like Klimataria, Kriaritsi, Kavourotripes, Kalamitsi and Vourvourou.

Aggelina House is 155km away from the airport in Thessaloniki.

Many boat trips for sailing around Athos are often held.
