Experience with Cassandra in August. The time has come for Cassandra.The more I get to know her, the more I realize that she is as beautiful as Sithonia, but the most beautiful coast belongs to the hotels, thus becoming accessible to a small number of visitors.Although entry to the hotel beaches is not prohibited, few tourists feel comfortable setting up their equipment between or in front of the hotel rows.Each year, we spend a lot of time on Cassandra and have visited everything important and beautiful.So we were now visiting some places that we somehow always missed because they were not “on the way” or we always stopped only briefly.

We stationed ourselves in Pefkohori and realized that August is indeed a bad month to stay on Cassandra. Pefkohori is crowded with people and parked cars. If you are located below the main road and do not have secured parking, then you are really in trouble.

We really like the stretch from Kalithea to Kriopigi. On this stretch, there are several large hotels, and the hotel beaches are wide, with a large space between sun loungers, and space in front of them for those coming from the side. This especially applies to the Pallini hotel. The sea is wonderful.

We prefer wild beaches more, which are towards Kriopigi. One of our favorites is near Villa Pefka, where we always spend the most time. Natural shade, no crowds, and clean sea. Perfect.

On the east coast, we also recommend the part from Pefkohori to Pallini, Glarokavos, Golden beach… On this stretch, you can enjoy on your towel without crowds even in the peak season or in one of the famous and fancy bars.

The traffic, the city, and the beach on the east side can be tiring. You don’t feel like there are separate places because the houses, villas, and hotels are built almost along the entire east coast and the places have merged. The west coast is much calmer and more relaxing for a vacation. The south as well.
