Our description

Famelia Lampiris Studios is located in the heart of Potos, a minute walk from all the contents in Potos. Location is very good, just step away from the beach and studios are nice and clean. The owners are very kind and helpful.

You can say that the location of this house is exactly in the center. The beach is 120 meters away.

The villa has two floors. Studios on the first floor are equipped with furniture made of wrought iron , well preserved. Bathrooms and kitchens are new.

On the ground floor there is only one double studio with double bed and folding single sofa so it can accommodate up to 3 persons.

On the first floor there are four studios, two triple and two quadruple. Triple studios have or double + single or three single beds while quadruple studios have double bed and bunk bed. On the second floor is the same structure of studios.

The terraces are of different sizes in each studio, and with different views, at the garden, at a neighboring house and the like.

All the units have A/C, TV, mosquito nets and WiFi signal. There is a Disney Plus channel available in their rooms, which is great for children, as well as for adults.

Kitchen is equipped and from season 2024. there will be also nesspreso coffee machine, while the owners will provide two nesspreso capsules per day.

Studios have between 20 and 25m2.

For season 2023. the owners bought new matresses for all the beds so comfort can be guaranteed.

Cleaning and changing of linen and towels are done every 3 days.

The house has a small yard with plenty of tables and chairs and also barbecue.

There is no private parking but you can use public parking which is 50 meters away.

Famelia Lampiris is in a quiet location, across from the tourist agency Mythos, in the street at right, just before the central intersection (from Limenaria direction).

If you want everything to be available in less than a minute`s walk (promenade, shops, restaurants), then this villa is the right choice.

Owners description

In the center of cosmopolitan Potos, a few meters from the main crossing, a small yet modern facility has been created for you. Lampiris Tasos studios, completely renovated in 2009. There are (7) studio apartments and (2) rooms. Each one has been built and equipped to make your stay as pleasant and as comfortable as possible and at surprising rates. Each studio has a private kitchen, private bathroom, television, air-conditioning and balcony. Each room has a private bathroom, television, air-conditioning, refrigerator and everything that is needed to enjoy your coffee or breakfast on your own balcony. If you wish, you may enjoy your coffee, meals (that you can even cook on the grill), or enjoy playing backgammon or cards in the lush green garden under the shade of a very old grapevine. And then again, if you prefer the coolness of the sea without much effort and without the need to drive anywhere, all you need is your towel and swimsuit to enjoy swimming and sunbathing on the cosmopolitan beach of Potos at only 80 meters distance.

If you decide to visit other beautiful places on the island we have to warn you that no matter how long your stay, the days will always seem too few. No one can ever get enough of Thassos, no matter how many times they visit! There are countless beautiful coastal villages and beaches, but we will only mention a few of the most popular. We are speaking of so many beaches that even if you are on the island during the busiest month of August, you will be able to find your own private beach for swimming and relaxing. Some of the most popular beaches on the island are: Tarsanas, Nysteri, Glyfada, Pachis, Rachoni, Trypiti, Metallia in Limenaria, Pefkari, Potos, St. Antonios, Rossokremos, St. Anna, Psili Ammos, Astris, Libadi, Thimonia, Paradise, Alyki, Chrissi Ammoudia (Golden Beach), and Makryammos. All the beaches are sandy, both in and out of the sea. By driving around the island you may discover crowded beaches as well as small gulfs where you can enjoy your privacy and quiet moments. Each beach has something special and unique to offer you; some are crowded, others abandoned, some organized, others not. They are all waiting to be discovered. Some are so calm that they invite you to their embrace to relax. Others show their strength, tempting you to play in their waves.

The capital of the island is Limenas, your first contact with the island if you arrive by ferry boat from Keramoti. The city is filled with picturesque houses that are situated between the seashore and the pine forests. A single visit to the mountain villages of Thassos will enchant you with their scenic views and traditional architecture. One can see the houses with slate covered rooftops and arched wooden entryways. About 7 kilometers from Limenas and 40 kilometers from Potos is the first of the mountain treasures, the village of Panagia. There you will find plenty of old mansions that are decorated with traditional woodwork. Around 30km from Potos, on the west side of the island you will find Mikro (small) and Megalo (Big) Prinos (Kazaviti). At roughly the center of the island is another beautiful village, Maries. Besides the architecture, it is worth the effort to take a trip to the lake above the village to see the small waterfalls. Finally, take a visit to Theologos, the former capital of the island; which is one of the oldest villages besides Panagia. Here there are several mansions of Macedonian Architecture. Do not forget to visit some of the many taverns with music and a taste of the local specialties of goat and other roasts on the spit. Of the coastal settlements, the largest is Limenaria. Located at the top of a hill overlooking the sea is an old building with brown bricks known as Palataki. In this building were the offices of the German Company that mined iron from the island at the beginning of the 20th century. The name Palataki was given after a visit from the German Kaiser who once stayed there. On the south side of the island is the settlement of Astridas, (about 8km from Potos), Here you will see Gkiola, a small salt water lake. After Astridas is the Monastery of the Archangel. It is a women`s monastery dedicated to the protector of the island, Archangel Michael. A few kilometers further in the direction of Limenas you will find Alyki, a beautiful beach where one can see ruins of ancient temples and ancient mines that were used from the 6th century BC to the 6th century AC. Here one can enjoy fresh fish and seafood from one of the many seaside taverns. Due to its rich history, Thassos has important archaeological and historical sights. We recommend a visit to the Archaeological Museum, the Ancient Theater and the Ancient Marketplace in the capital of the island, Limenas. Also worth mentioning is the famous museum of the well-known sculptor Vagis located in Potamia and the Folk Art Museums of Theologos and Limenaria.

Upon arrival to Potos the visitor sees the now cosmopolitan, lively village of Thassos. Having acquired the reputation as the most in place for entertainment, each summer it attracts young people from all over Greece and abroad. Along nearly 1,5m of gorgeous, picturesque beachfront, there are taverns and bars at which during the morning hours one can enjoy a coffee with a view of Mt. Athos in the distance and in the evening watch the magnificent sunsets. And at night...here is where the nightlife begins and goes on until early morning. And if that is not enough, only 2km away there are more nightclubs. Also, for those who prefer something more traditional, there are taverns 8 km away with live Greek music. . There are a variety of shops in Potos to satisfy all your needs: supermarkets, bakeries, pastry shops, butcher shops, shops with folkloric arts, clothing shops, jewellery shops, and shops with traditional sweets like the well-known walnut sweet of Thassos. You can also purchase local products of honey, olives and olive oil. Thassos olives are made from Τhrubolea olives. These black olives are special because they are harvested when they are completely sun-ripened and wrinkled. The olive oil is also of excellent quality. The wine is from the Georgina variety of grapes, one of the first wines known in the ancient world. Today it continues to be produced in homes for personal consumption among the locals.
