Description

Potos Rooms Villa is located on the promenade in Potos, in the first row next to the beach.

It consists of three floors. On the 1st floor there is a double studio with a large veranda. This studio doesn't overlook the sea. It has equipped kitchen, bathroom, air-conditioning, TV and very nice and modern furniture.

On the same floor there is also big duplex apartment, which consists of two bedrooms that with a double bed (each). Both of the have a spacious terrace that overlooks the sea and the beach. In the 3rd room there is a kitchen and another bed for a 5th person. The kitchen has a small stove with oven and two plates, microwave, crockery and cutlery. The apartment is spacious, but it has a very small bathroom. The view to the sea is beautiful.

Studio with big terrace and fantastic sea view is on the 3rd floor. Studio has a double bed, one single bed and one additional bed which can be added if needed. It's modern, and the kitchen is fully equipped.

Public free parking lot is located near the villa, next to the sea.

When you enter Potos from the direction of Limenaria, turn right after the Alexandra Beach Hotel and drive along the promenade towards the beach. Villa is located across the goldsmiths and next to rent-a-bike Easy Riders.

If you want accommodation that is in the heart of the city, on the promenade, close to the beach, Potos Rooms is a good choice.

Cancellation and payment policy

Deposit of 30% is required to confirm the reservation. Remaining balance should be payed first day upon arrival. If cancelled 21 or more days prior to arrival, paid money will be fully refunded. If cancelled at any time later, paid money is non-refundable. In the case of early departure, 50% of remaining days will be charged.

*If a refund of the deposit is possible, the shipping costs are borne by the guest. The amount of costs depends on the method of sending and the bank.

An excellent location for those who enjoy being in the center, just a step away from the beach. The music from the bar below could be heard late into the night, which did not bother us; we enjoyed ourselves on the terrace.

The accommodation is located directly above Tavern Irena, offering a stunning view of the sea and a spacious terrace. The entrance to the apartment is from the opposite side of the street where the promenade is located, right across from Dessarts and next to rent-a-bike Easi Riders in the passage beside Tavern Irena. Just up the stairs, you reach the apartment (the only place where food aromas can be sensed, which guests have complained about, is in that hallway and the entrance to the apartment where one stays for about 30 seconds while entering or exiting). Upon entering the apartment, to the right is a kitchen where one or two people can sleep, next to the wall is a TV, and beneath it is a dining table with a microwave. Next to it is a bathroom, neat and tidy, with new tiles, and hot water has always been available. On the left wall is a kitchen with a sink, two burners, and a small refrigerator with a freezing compartment. Directly in front is the entrance to two rooms, each containing a double bed of standard dimensions and a wardrobe; both rooms have access to the terrace and an air conditioner that cools excellently. The terrace also has a tendency to be essential for us. The noise that previous guests complained about starts in the evening hours and is bearable when sitting on the terrace, mixed with music from the tavern and even a pleasant atmosphere... A very tidy and spacious apartment where four adults and two children enjoyed, we changed towels and bed linens during our stay and in agreement with the landlady, it could have been arranged differently. The landlady is a lovely and kind woman who only appeared for the money after 4-5 days, bringing a hairdryer that was missing in the apartment and toys for the children. Upon our request to vacate the apartment in the evening, she immediately checked for other guests and informed us that we could stay for a minimal cleaning fee, allowing us to enjoy the entire day in the shade of the terrace.

Pros
Spaciousness, proximity to the beach, view of the beach, and easy access from the apartment to the promenade.
Cons
The only real downside is that the mattress on both beds needs to be replaced as they are worn out, since the complaints about food aromas and noise are generally unfounded as the balcony can be closed in the apartment, providing complete silence even with the shutters.

The accommodation is excellent, and the terrace is truly fantastic.

Proximity to the beach, a view of the sea, no other guests on the floor.
Cons
The smell of the kitchen wafting from the tavern, along with occasional unbearable noise from the hookah bar lasting until 5-6 AM. When it usually ends by 2 AM, it did not pose a problem for us.

Considering that we searched for accommodation quite late for Thassos (in June for a trip in August) and that we needed accommodation for four adults (with two separate bedrooms), we had limited options, so we reserved Potos Rooms. We arrived around midnight on the first day, and there was no hot water in the accommodation (the boiler fuse was turned off and someone kept turning it off during our stay). For the four of us, we were greeted with two small face towels, and that was it (prior to this, we sent an email asking if we needed to bring towels and bedding, to which we were told there was no need, everything was provided in the accommodation). The light in one room was not working, and they only realized it when we arrived and tried to turn it on. Only after 3-4 days of constant messaging on Viber to the landlord did an electrician come and fix the light (it wasn't just a matter of changing the bulb, but rather some contact issue; otherwise, we would have replaced it ourselves). That same evening, we messaged the landlord about the towels because, until now, in all accommodations in Greece, we had a large and a small towel per person. The landlord did not respond, so we sent an email to Nikani, and they said they would arrange it, so we were greeted in the evening with four medium-sized towels (not terry, but some that do not absorb water). But well, better than nothing. After a few days, we messaged the landlord to see if a cleaner could come to wipe down, change the bedding and towels as is customary in all other accommodations (and it states in the accommodation that we should let them know when we need the cleaner), but she did not come until the seventh day when she only changed the bedding and towels, but did no further cleaning (two days prior, clean towels were sitting in the hallway, so we asked the landlord if we could help ourselves, to which she agreed). Below the accommodation, there is a restaurant that operates excellently; it is evident that the kitchen is below because it was extremely hot in the accommodation. Both bedrooms have air conditioning that does not incur an extra charge, but for those who do not like to sleep with air conditioning, it is not pleasant at all. We were warned about the noise before we booked the accommodation, but we did not expect such a level of noise; however, this bothered us the least since we arrived tired and literally collapsed. Speaking of the room, for those with back problems, the beds could be an issue - they are on springs that are quite worn out, making them uncomfortable and noisy. So, all in all, this would not be our choice again, and if you have another option, I believe that is a better choice.

We stayed in a two-bedroom apartment on the first floor, and everything was perfectly fine, although the bathroom was quite small. The hosts were friendly, and we didn’t encounter many issues, but whatever arose was promptly resolved. The nights were rather noisy, so those who are sensitive to sound should move further away from the shore. The sound insulation was good, allowing us to sleep well.
