About me

My name is Ana Nikolić. Most visitors to Thassos recognize me by the nickname Nikana, under which I was active on the Thassos forums. I have been living in Greece for 18 years. I spent eight years on the beautiful island of Thassos, all the time writing and conveying my impressions to my followers through the forum, later on the blog and finally through this website, and for the last nine years, apart from Thassos, I have been visiting and staying in other destinations that you like the most, writing about them, I share impressions, and post videos and photos. I stay mostly in Sithonia, because it is the number one destination for tourists in recent years.

For the first few years (since 2005), I worked as a tourist guide in Thassos and got to know every corner of it, but I also got to know the wishes and demands of tourists and what travel agencies can and cannot provide them. My then blog about the island of Thassos ( www.island-thassos.com ) became very popular and many of you wrote to me even then asking me to provide you with accommodation. So slowly, at your request, I started dealing with reservation mediation. The result of my decision is the opening of a tourist agency on Thassos and the creation of this website.

The office of the “Nikana” agency on Thassos, in the town of Potos, is located 50 meters from the central intersection, right across the street from the church. As for the website, several people help me with it, so in the meantime we have formed a real team. The site is full of data, it contains hundreds of texts about Thassos, Sithonia, Lefkada, Kassandra, Athos, Kavala, thousands of comments, several thousand photos of the accommodation I present to you, more than 10,000 of your reviews of the accommodation you have stayed in with our mediation, various search tools, google maps views, and maintaining a site like this requires a lot of work. That’s why I ask you not to be offended if there are some mistakes or if something is not clear. As you will see on the pages of the site, the choice of accommodation is really large, and I tried to find something for everyone, so there are economical offers, but also a little more expensive and luxurious ones. We currently offer over 2200 properties in Sithonia, Thassos and other popular places.

The intention of my team and I is for our site to become everything you need to prepare your vacation in Greece, starting with booking accommodation, information about the trip to the destination, and ending with the organization of the vacation itself and tours, not only in Serbian, but in general. and we are getting closer to the realization of that intention every day, among other things, thanks to the help we receive from the visitors of this site in the form of written texts about Thassos, photos and useful suggestions. Any comments or objections are welcome.

I would like to mention that our team includes programmers, people who deal with marketing and social networks, photography and video production, but also agents who are the soul of our team and my extended hand. The purpose of this site is twofold: to provide you with as much information as possible about the resorts in Greece and to enable you to book accommodation in the place of your choice as simply and cheaply as possible. If you are interested in making a reservation, the procedure is as follows

Selection of accommodation

Search the site, read texts and guest comments and choose. After you have chosen the appropriate accommodation, click on the “Reservation inquiry” button and carefully fill out the form. You will receive an answer very quickly by email. If you are undecided and if you need advice about the choice, you can contact me via email nikana@nikana.gr. If you know approximately which accommodation you want, but you want to know some more details, to check the availability or to get some clarification regarding the price, also write to us at nikana@nikana.gr.

Deposit payment

After you have chosen the accommodation and we have checked whether the chosen accommodation is available in the period you are interested in, you will receive instructions by email regarding the payment of the deposit, which, depending on the hotel, amounts to 10-30% of the total price. The deposit is paid to the hotel owner’s account, and depending on the specific hotel, payments can be made through a bank, foreign currency account, PayPal, PaySend, Western Union or credit card. You get a Voucher

You will receive a voucher by email confirming that you have paid and that you have reserved accommodation. The voucher contains all the necessary information about the hotel: address, phone, email, even GPS coordinates of the hotel. You only have to go to Thassos and… Enjoyment Feet in the sand, head in the shade, gyros, sirtaki… you already know :-)
