New Year
If you are spending New Year holidays in Greece, you can click on the link to view the working hours of shops and museums.
Non-working day in Greece is January 1st, and that day all stores and shopping centers will be closed.
The recommendation of the Association of Traders is that the January 2nd also should be non-working day, but not necessarily. In that sense, many stores will remain closed on that day, but some will work.
For example, Jumbo will not work, while some boutiques in the shopping mall Cosmos and other shopping centers in Greece will be opened and some others closed. It is a matter of choice for owners.
Museums will remain closed for visitors on January 1st, while on January 2nd they will have standard working hours from 9am to 4pm or 5pm.
It is interesting that all shops, museums and shopping centers will be open on Sunday, the eve of the New Year, 31.12.
That day museums will work from 9am to 4pm, Jumbo from 11am to 5pm, and boutiques from 9am to 5-6pm.
On 30.12. the working hours of stores are up to 6pm, and the museum is open until 4pm.
