People who own a boat or rent a boat have the opportunity to experience the coast from a completely different perspective. We bring you the experience of our guest, who spent his vacation on Sithonia with his family by bringing a boat from Serbia and enjoying the exploration of the coast.
Here is his first-hand experience.

“Greetings!
Here are a few words. We are still in Greece. We are staying right on the coast in Nikiti. We have been in the same apartment for a few years now.
Unlike previous years, when our guides from Blue Green apartments and Serbian agencies could not inquire about the marina fee for our sailboat, this year we decided to bring it ourselves, and see what happens.

Upon arriving in Nikiti, I went straight to the Nikiti harbor master’s office, where the kind people showed me where to moor the boat and told me the price for a day, or for 10 days. We were lucky to get a spot in the marina.

The price for our sailboat is 10 euros per day, which does not include electricity and water connection. Additional fees apply, so the daily cost does not exceed 15 euros, which is not too expensive. For comparison, in Porto Montenegro, a luxury marina, the price is 23 euros per day.

From our apartment in Nikiti, we drive to the Nikiti marina every morning, where we have free parking for our car right in the marina. We board the sailboat and visit all the beaches nearby, starting from St. George, Agios Ioannis, Anti Koviou, Kalogria beach. We also plan to go to Lagomandra, all the way to Neos Marmaras.

What impressed us, and what we couldn’t do in previous years, is that we can now reach some beautiful coves by car. Now we can do it by sailboat. The water temperature varies from cove to cove, as does water clarity. Where there are no people, the water is the cleanest and coldest.

We will be at sea for a total of 14 days, and already half of it has passed. Also, the apartment owner allowed us to put a small trailer in the apartment yard where we are staying.

I have been a sailor for 42 years and I compete with this boat. The class is called Microclass and is sailed all over the world. I was first in the Euro Cup twice and I run a sailing school for the youngest in our club, where I am also the vice president of the Metalac Smederevo Sailing Club ( https://bkmetalac.rs ).
