Lassi
Lassi is a small tourist town in the south of Kefalonia island and is one of the best developed tourist centers on the island. It is only 3km from the capital of Argostoli. It offers tourists a lot of fun, and in the vicinity of the city there are many smaller and larger beaches that can satisfy different tastes. Due to incredible sunsets, Lassi represents a real attraction and is an ideal choice for couples, but because of its other qualities, it is equally as interesting to families with children as it is to solo travelers or those traveling with friends.
Lassi is a well-organized place in tourist terms. It offers an excellent choice for accommodation because it offers opportunities for all types of budgets, from average studios to luxury apartments with pools and hotels. Here you can find everything you need during your stay in Kefalonia: supermarkets, travel agencies, souvenir shops, traditional Greek restaurants and pastry shops, bakeries, etc. It is connected with the capital city and the most important tourist villages on the island with public bus transport that runs several times during the day.
Lassi is also a perfect place for those who prefer to be engaged in cultural activities during the vacation. In it’s relative vicinity there are St. George’s Fortress, Mount Enos, St. Gerasim monastery and Robol winery.
It is interesting that the city itself has no promenade, nor stores that we are used to see in typical summer resorts. The focus here is on daily beach tours and evening outings to the restaurants located on either side of the main street that passes through the city. There are only a few fast food stores and prices do not differ significantly from those in restaurants.
A large number of accommodation facilities are located on the left side of the road from the Argostoli direction, where the houses are arranged on elevated ground. Some houses in the hill are more difficult to reach, but their advantage is in the panoramic view of the sea and fantastic sunsets. The right part of the road is reserved for smaller number of houses and hotels located along the coast.
