Our description

Prosforio Rooms is the accommodation in a beautiful and vibrant location in Ouranopolis, close to the center, restaurants and the beach. It has seven accommodation units for 2-4 people and exudes the cleanliness and care of the kind owner. Small pets are also welcome. Accommodation is open year-round.

Sandy beach is 250m away. The nearest bakery and restaurant are at only 20m, while the center and market are about 200m away. The port is 400m away, and the Holy Mountain Pilgrim's Office is 50m away.

Accommodation units are located on the ground floor or ground floor at the rear (the building is located on a gentle hill) and the first floor.

Upstairs, there's one triple studio and two apartments (for two i.e. four persons). The triple studio and the quadruple suite have corner terraces. The triple studio (23m2) has three single beds, a kitchen and a bathroom. The double apartment (18m2) has a bedroom with two single beds and a TV, a kitchen (with stove, small fridge and necessary utensils) and a bathroom. The quadruple apartment (28m2) has a bedroom with three single beds, a kitchenette (stove and utensils) with one single bed and a bathroom.

On the (high) ground floor there are two double rooms, one triple studio and one triple apartment.

The triple apartment (21m2) has an entrance on the lateral side, through the small courtyard enclosed yard with a gate, which makes it great for families with young children. It has a bedroom with two single beds, a kitchen (mini-stove with oven, large fridge with freezer and dishes) with one single bed and a bathroom.

The triple studio (19m2) has two entrances (on the inside and outside), three single beds, a kitchen, a bathroom (not renovated) and enclosed porch.

Double rooms (14m2) have a view of the street and the sea, two single beds, a small fridge, a bathroom and a terrace with a dryer. One room has an entrance on the inside, while the other has an outside, side, and it has a terrace and a small veranda.

All bathrooms have a non-enclosed shower with curtain.

The accommodation units are air-conditioned, have internet, TV, hairdryer and mosquito nets. If someone needs a laundry service, they can contact the owners.

The accommodation is modestly furnished but well maintained and functional. The bathrooms have been renovated in 2018.

Cleaning is done daily, while towels are changed every two days.

Private parking is not provided, but there is a large, payable public parking lot diagonally from the property.

Owners description

At just 250m from the beach, 300m from the port and 50m from the pilgrim's bureau of Mount Athos, the hospitable and family-run Prosforio Rooms will satisfy both those who will choose Ouranoupolis for their vacation and the pilgrims to Holy Mountain who wish to stay and rest before they entering, and after they leave Mount Athos.

All of the apartments are furnished, air-conditioned and have a furnished balcony overlooking the sea and/or the mountain. They all have a flat-screen TV, fridge, kettle and bed linen. Also, all apartments have a bathroom with shower and hairdryer while some have a separate kitchen fully equipped with stovetop, oven, kitchenware and dinnerware.

Free WiFi internet is available throughout the property. Luggage storage space is provided for free. The staff can assist you in obtaining the written permission to enter Mount Athos.

Opposite the accommodation, there's low-cost public parking, while right in front of the lodging there's an intercity bus stop to and from Thessaloniki. Pharmacy, bakery, patisserie, supermarket, restaurants, café-bars and the local market are within walking distance.

Twin room with balcony (14m2) has a view over the sea and the surrounding islands. This air-conditioned room has a fridge, a kettle and a private bathroom with hairdryer. Please note that this room type cannot accommodate an extra bed. Maximum capacity is two guests.

Apartment with balcony (28m2) has a separate bedroom and a bedroom with a kitchenette. Maximum capacity is three guests.

Apartment with terrace (23m2) is air-conditioned and opens to a balcony with mountain and partial sea view, and includes a flat-screen TV. Maximum capacity is three guests.

One-bedroom apartment (18m2) can accommodate two guests.

Studio-apartment (21m2) features a spacious courtyard overlooking a quiet street. This air-conditioned, fully furnished apartment has two twin beds, a fully equipped kitchenette with fridge and oven, as well as a private bathroom with hairdryer. Please note that the sofa bed is in the kitchenette. Maximum capacity is three guests.

Standard apartment (19m2) features a spacious courtyard with a mountain and a side sea view. This air-conditioned, fully furnished apartment has three single beds, a fully equipped kitchenette with fridge and oven, as well as a private bathroom with hairdryer. Please note that this room type cannot accommodate an extra bed. Maximum capacity is three guests.
