Our description

Hotel Mavridis is located in the center of Nea Flogita, just a few steps from a long sandy beach. It has 27 rooms, capacity for 1-4 persons, and it offers a service on bed and breakfast or half board basis. The hotel also has a clothes shop, a restaurant and a bar, which completes a real seaside vacation.

It was last renovated in 2008.

Market and bakery are located near the hotel, 5m away.

Double rooms (15-18m2) have one double or two single beds. The hotel has seven triple rooms (20m2) with one double and a single bed or three single beds. Family rooms (25m2) consist of two bedrooms with one double and two single beds. A drawer bed is used as an auxiliary bed, pulled out and raised to the height of the second bed.

The rooms are air-conditioned, have a large terrace (on the side of the hotel there are awnings), TV, mosquito nets, hair dryer, mini bar, electric kettle, safe deposit box and a bathroom with a shower cabin. Laundry service is free of charge.

Three double rooms have a direct sea view, while four rooms have a side sea view.

There's also an elevator and a ramp available, to facilitate the accommodation of people with disabilities, with the note that the bathroom has a smaller dimension.

Beach umbrellas and beach chairs are available with an ordered drink or meal.

Rooms are cleaned every day, towels are replaced after two and bed linen after three days.

Private parking is not provided, so guests park close by.

Hotel Mavridis is a good choice for all who want to be located in an ideal location near the beach, in a facility that reflects the purity, courtesy and professionalism of the service staff.

Hotel Mavridis is built next to the clear waters of Nea Flogita, with a 2km sandy beach. The hotel guests are able to combine swimming and water sports as well as walks through the majestic sunset and the night life of the area. Hotel Mavridis is ideal for everyone from spring till autumn. The nearest cities and their sight-seeing, as well as the entertainment centers, characterize the area with the ability to organize daily excursions to Thessaloniki, Mount Athos, Petralona cave, ancient Pella, Vergina, the casino and others.

Start a wonderful day with breakfast and a cup of coffee. Later, enjoy lunch or dinner by choosing among the recipes of traditional Greek cuisine. Then get ready to discover the nightlife of Halkidiki.

The beach bar opens early in the morning till late at evening. There you can enjoy the clear blue sea with its big sandy beach. No one resists on tasting our delicious milkshakes, fresh mixed fruit juice, and the big variety in coffees as well as cold beers and drinks. You can also have a wide range of snacks and hand food served on the beach, which are the ideal option to satisfy your hunger after a vigorous swim or a day of sunbathing in the sun. The bar restaurant also serves delicious Greek dishes, made from the freshest ingredients, including grilled meats, pastas, fish and a variety of fresh salads.

When the night has fell down you can have a drink, a cocktail or a fruit punch and enjoy it under the moonlight. Flogita, is a coastal village in the Greek prefecture of Halkidiki, 52km from Thessaloniki and 6km from New Moudania. The village, in the Municipality of New Moudania, is built on a hill overlooking the Thermaikos Gulf. Most of the village is only a few minutes from the sea, and on a clear day, there is a wonderful view across the bay to Mount Olympus.

Flogita has 1520 permanent residents, according to the 2001 census. This number increases hugely in the summer months, when visitor numbers raise the population to 20000. Flogita is a popular tourist resort, particularly in the summer, and as a result facilities and amusements have increased to cater for the influx. Flogita is noted for its big sandy beach, roughly one kilometer long, and its paved promenade which is popular in the evenings for the customary volta, or walk. The sea is particularly warm. The sea floor is shallow, which has resulted in the popularity of marine sports in the village.

Along the sea front there are many taverns, fast foods shops, confectioners, beach bar cafes, and nightclubs. The atmosphere in the height of the summer season is that of a party style village. In the "off" season, Flogita is very quiet. Located in a privileged position, on a hill, just a few meters from the sea. It is only half an hour from Thessaloniki, the capital city of northern Greece, and five minutes from Nea Moudania, the commercial center of Halkidiki. The hotels, flats and rooms offer all the facilities and comforts that someone would like to have during their vacation. There are long paved roads for walks, while a variety of either quiet family Greek taverns, cafes, bars and night clubs offers the real taste of holiday making in Greece. The local market offers a large variety of traditional and modern products.

Bus services from Flogita to any destination in Halkidiki or to Thessaloniki are frequent during the summer season. Archaeological sites are within reasonable distances and excursions are organized daily from the village. Local people are warm hearted, friendly and always welcome you in their own special way. Once you come to Flogita you will surely want to come back again.
