Due to the proximity to Thessaloniki, there are not many accommodation facilities and hotels in these places, as a large number of properties and villas are privately owned by residents of Thessaloniki who spend their weekends here during the summer. For this reason, apart from weekends, there are no crowds, so the several kilometers long beach is always available to tourists for peaceful and relaxed enjoyment.
There are plenty of souvenir shops and boutiques, as well as a large number of cafes with well-kept gardens, restaurants, taverns, pizzerias, fast food restaurants, and pastry shops.
Both places are well maintained, with a long beach and an endless palm tree promenade in the background, a paved promenade, and beautiful parks. The promenade connecting them is several kilometers long and is ideal for those who enjoy long walks or bike rides. Along the coast, you will find large and well-maintained parks full of greenery, as well as playgrounds for children.

Both places have pharmacies, bakeries, butchers, and various shops. The best and most affordable for supplies are the Arvanitidis supermarket at the entrance to Nea Plagia and Lidl and Carrefour near Nea Moudania.
Right by the sea, at the beginning of Nea Flogita, there is a green market with always fresh fruits and vegetables, open every day until midnight.
