Our description

At the very beginning of Sithonia, in Gerakini, surrounded by pine forests and olive groves near the coast, there is Gerakina Beach Cottage. You will be able to enjoy direct sea views in complete privacy.

Accommodation is located 150m from the sandy beach, and as the place itself is small, all of its contents are at your fingertips.

It is one accommodation unit, more precisely a ground floor house (80m2) with a direct sea view. It has six beds. The living room has two sofa beds, of which one can be opened. One bedroom has a double bed, while the other one has two single beds. At the very entrance to the house on the right there is a kitchen, separated from the living room by a door and a wall that has an opening in the middle in the form of shelves. The kitchen has a stove, large refrigerator with freezer, kettle, toaster and necessary utensils. The spacious bathroom has a shower cabin as well as a washing machine. Each room in the house has air conditioning, TV, internet, and the owners can provide a baby cot if needed. On the balcony, with a direct sea view, there are table and chairs, and the small yard that surrounds it has natural shade. Accommodation does not have private parking, but guests can park their vehicle in front of the house.

Guests are in charge of maintaining the hygiene of the accommodation, as well as the replacement of bed linen and towels that are provided by the owner.

When you are driving from the direction of Thessaloniki, turn right from the highway at the Trikorfo resort, continue along the road all the way to the end of the street where you turn left and after a little less than 70m you will see the accommodation on your left.

Gerakina Beach Cottage is the right choice for families who want a peaceful vacation near the beach with a mountain epithet which gives plenty of greenery.

Owners description

Secluded, cosy little cottage in Gerakini Halkidiki, a 4-minute walk from a gorgeous sandy beach, features a lovely olive tree garden with BBQ, and a magnificent sea view from the front porch.

Gerakina Beach Cottage is a traditional village cottage-house (80m2) with a small garden of olive trees. The name of the house, like the name of the village, Gerakini, means a female hawk. The house overlooks the sea between Kassandra and Sithonia. Its central location is perfect for enjoying the sea next to it, and for daily excursions over Halkidiki's beautiful beaches, archaeological sites, Mount Athos, Thessaloniki and more.

The spacious living room is naturally divided into two areas, the dining table is close to the huge window facing the porch and the sea below, and a convertible sofa is close to the second window with a view to the garden and the TV. The stone fireplace and a second sofa are close to the old bookcase, defining a quiet area at the back of the living room, close to the main entrance. The bathroom includes a shower, hairdryer and washing machine. The kitchen next to the living room is equipped with essentials for cooking, coffee-maker, kettle and a fridge. The house can accommodate a maximum of six persons and a child on the small sofa if needed. A portable crib/cot and a high chair are available upon request.

A small beach is a 4-minute walk from the house, either through steps that lead down to it or through a small passage further away. At the beach, there is a nice beach bar and a modern restaurant. There are many small beaches next to ours, for you to explore. The sea is calm, and most days crystal clear, with rather warm water suitable for everyone. You can find all kinds of water sports, archaeological sites and nature-experiences nearby. Thessaloniki is 45 minutes by car.

Guests have access to the whole house and garden. Please be aware that the house and the garden are NOT child-proofed. Children need to be supervised. There are about ten steps leading from the road to the garden. The house itself is flat.
