UPDATE: The road to Egremni Beach is finally finished
The Mayor of Lefkada recently stated that the road to the first parking lot will surely be completed by the next year, but the biggest problem for the performers are the stairs to the beach itself.

In fact, the large sections of the rocks in that part, above the beach, are unstable and in the rain are possible landslides that would endanger the lives of visitors. However, some rocks have been removed and the contractor will in the beginning of the year submit a solution to the stairs problem to the Ministry, so if the solution is approved, you could visit the Egremni beach from the mainland.

The road and stairway rehabilitation project costs a million and four hundred thousand euros and the money for the works is secured, but safety is a condition for the continuation of works.

This year, significant funds have been given for hundreds of projects related to improving infrastructure on the island.
