Drivers will now be aided in their journey to the north of Greece by another application - Traffic Halkidiki. Unlike the Flyover application that provides data on traffic jams on the bypass, this application is specialized in monitoring traffic from border crossings to key destinations in Halkidiki, including the bypass around Thessaloniki. What is the purpose of the application?

The Traffic Halkidiki application provides drivers with real-time information on traffic conditions from the border crossings Promahonas and Gevgelija (Evzoni) to three key locations in Halkidiki:
Nea Moudania (for Kassandra),
Gerakini (for Sithonia), and
Ierissos (for Athos).

How does the application work?

Using the application is simple, and in just a few steps, you can access key traffic information for your journey.
1. Enter the starting point of your journey. If you are traveling to Greece, choose one of the two border crossings provided.
2. Select your destination. Choose one of the three proposed locations, such as Nea Moudania.
You will see on the screen:
Average traffic speed,
Estimated travel time to the destination,
Display of traffic jams on an interactive map (marked in orange or red).

This application allows you to easily find alternative routes or take a break until the congestion clears.

Although the application was introduced after the end of the 2024 season, we expect it to be extremely useful next season and help many tourists in planning their trips and avoiding traffic jams.
