If you vacation without a car, we recommend places in the Thessaloniki region and Halkidiki that are well connected by transportation, from which you can enjoy sightseeing on foot or by local transport. Below are recommendations for places that are easily accessible from Serbia, have beautiful beaches, are well stocked, and provide everything tourists need for a great vacation. They also have good public transport, so even people without their own car can easily visit other famous beaches and places in the area.
Perea - the closest place to Thessaloniki and the airport
Advantages:
- If you arrive to Thessaloniki by bus or van, you can reach Perea by city bus or boat from the city center.
- Perea is an urban resort with a variety of amenities where you will have everything you need for a pleasant vacation.
- Nothing will be missing during your stay in Perea, as it is excellently stocked. In addition to supermarkets, there are a large number of fast food restaurants, taverns, various shops, fantastic pastry shops, excellent bakeries, and fish restaurants.
- Perea is connected to Nea Epivates by a long promenade and beach, and in the immediate vicinity is a small fishing village, Agia Triada.
- We recommend Nei Epivates for those who want a quieter vacation, while the neighboring Perea is for those who love lively and urban places.
Beaches:
- The place is known for a beach that stretches for several kilometers, with restaurants, taverns, cafes, and of course a promenade lining the entire beach where you can walk for hours.
- The beaches also offer various water sports such as pedal boating, jet skiing, diving, and sailing.

- Regular bus lines connect these destinations with Thessaloniki and the airport.
- You can take a boat that goes every half hour to an hour to visit Thessaloniki and experience it from a different perspective.

Nea Flogita and Nea Plagia

- Popular and the largest resort (35 km from Thessaloniki).

- There are plenty of stores, markets, Lidl, and other supermarkets.
- The bus to Nea Kallikratia departs from the KTEL Halkidiki station (located in the eastern part of Thessaloniki - Kalamaria).

- It has a long sandy beach with a gradual depth and a shallow area for children.
- The beach is organized with showers, changing cabins, and space for towels and personal equipment.
What to visit:
- Thessaloniki or Nea Moudania for shopping and sightseeing.
- You can visit the most beautiful and famous beach, Sahara, on foot. It is about 3 km from Nea Kallikratia.
- To the east, we recommend Mikoniatika beach, a half-hour walk from Kallikratia.
- You can also visit Kassandra by bus, as the line passing through Kallikratia continues to Kassandra. Buses run frequently throughout the day.

- We recommend it to everyone who wants a lively place full of tourists, and if you prefer a quieter place, we recommend Paralia Dionisiu, a small place near the beach of the same name which is connected to Moudania.
- In Moudania, you will find cafes, taverns, and a long promenade with benches and playgrounds in the shade.

- Miles-long, well-kept, sandy beach with crystal clear water and a long shallow area - ideal for children.
- Dionisiu is the most beautiful part, with a wide sandy beach, plenty of space, and a gradual entry into the sea.

What to visit:
- It is located in an attractive location and is well connected by bus lines, so even tourists vacationing without a car can visit a lot.
- By local transport, you can visit large shopping centers like Cosmos, Ikea, Mega Outlet, and Waterland aqua park. You can also visit Thessaloniki.
