Keramario

After many years of living in America, Dimitris Stamulis returned with his family to his native village of Drakotripa in central Greece, near Trikala.

He resolved to fulfill his dream and create a small paradise on his estate in the village.

He constructed charming cottages from natural materials, utilizing stone from the nearby river and wood, while meticulously attending to every detail of the interior. The décor defies description; it is best admired through photographs, or even better, experienced firsthand by visiting this enchanting place.

On the expansive estate housing the complex, he also established a restaurant that has been repeatedly honored as one of the finest in Greece, built a swimming pool, and, most endearingly, introduced animals to the grounds to foster harmony between them and the visitors. Thus, deer and roe deer, hares and rabbits, along with occasional ostriches, peacocks, and ponies, freely roam the courtyard.

The animals are gentle and can be fed by both children and adults directly from their hands.

Nestled amidst a forest and breathtaking nature, this complex is exquisite in every season. In winter, by the fireplace and beneath the snow, it evokes the most beautiful fairy tale.

Guests at this accommodation have included princesses and their families, and reservations must be made well in advance.

Just 50 km from Keramario lies Meteora - Greek sanctity in the clouds, the renowned lake Plastira is 25 km away, and a smaller lake, Stefanida, is situated only 2 km from the estate.
