Hanioti is a popular and very nicely landscaped city on the east coast of Kassandra. Just under 100km away from Thessaloniki and just over 700km away from Belgrade.

Hanioti is becoming increasingly popular resort and slowly takes primacy from Pefkohori, the most attractive place over the years. The large area of Hanioti was turned into pedestrian zone, so from the central square, with large fountain, detaches another 5-6 streets that are also closed for traffic in the evening and crowded with shops and apartments for rent. In addition to square and streets that flow into it, there’s a promenade by the sea, as well as wonderfully landscaped park, and parallel to the sea yet another street that is available to pedestrians. In this part of Hanioti there’s a beautiful church, and the area surrounding center is also nicely arranged so you will enjoy walking the beautiful streets over which trees stand.

Hanioti has a lot of facilities for children. Indoor and outdoor playgrounds, park in the shade with a large number of toys in the sand, small amusement park and a football field with artificial grass, therefor children in Hanioti can never be bored.

City beach in Hanioti is very long, with sand, fine gravel and gradual depth. It has been awarded with the Blue Flag, which means that the beach environment is regularly maintained. The sea is crystal clear and without grass and jellyfish in high season. The beach is wider on its outskirts, with fine sand toward Pefkohori and with stones toward Polichrono.

A narrow promenade with benches is by the sea, as well as beautiful park with natural shade, that during the day swimmers use to shelter from the sun.

On the upper side of the park there’s a large number of beautifully landscaped taverns and cafe bars.

The city beach is nice enough to enjoy on it during the summer vacation. But if feel like change, just 1km from Hanioti toward Pefkohori, there is a Molos bar, fashionable and popular among young people. Beach in front of Molos is nicely arranged and regularly maintained with nice sand. Beach chairs and umbrellas are included with the announced drink, and bar also offers snacks. The beach is wide in this part and has volleyball net and small playground for children.

The famous Xenia beach in Paliouri is 13km away from Hanioti, and is perfect for all ages, especially for children because it’s characterized by very fine sand and a long shoal.

From nearby places you can visit Pefkohori (only 4km away), Polihrono (4,5km) and Nea Skioni that is only 10km away via road through the hills. We recommend to visit beautiful Kallithea (16km) and its fantastic beach, and the most authentic place on Kassandra, beautiful Afytos (18km).
