The beach of Spasmata is located in the settlement of Minia (Minies), about 6km from Argostoli, 4km from Lassi, and right next to the only airport on Kefalonia.

The beach is remarkably beautiful, with fine sand and pebbles. The sea is crystal clear with a gradual entrance into the water. It stretches for about 700m, with a width of 15-30m.

Most of the beach is free and intended for tourists who bring their own equipment to the beach, while there is also a section for tourists who wish to spend their day at the beach in a beach bar with sun loungers and umbrellas. Next to the beach bar, there is a taverna, as well as a place to rent water sports equipment. Since there are rocky parts on the beach, this beach is excellent for free diving enthusiasts, as well as for wildlife lovers, as there are marked and protected turtle nests in some places on the beach.

The downsides of Spasmata beach are the lack of a larger parking area near the beach, so parking is possible on the nearest street, and the proximity to the airport - although it is quite a sight to see a large plane passing low over the beach, it can be noisy. Fortunately, the frequency of flights from the airport is not too high.

Spasmata beach is an ideal choice for families with young children, couples, and diving enthusiasts.
