Although only the Kassandra peninsula offers plenty of content for a very rich and varied vacation, excursions are there to make that vacation even more interesting.

For specific information and details, it is best to visit several local agencies and inquire about the program and prices.

Cruises from Kassandra

The excursions that exist mainly refer to cruises to Sithonia (Neos Marmaras), then cruising along the coast of Kassandra and bathing on less known beaches and wild coves, cruising to Mount Athos (circling around Mount Athos and enjoying the view of numerous monasteries).

From Pefkohori, there are organized boat tours, one to Neos Marmaras in Sithonia and one to Nea Moudania touring the whole Kassandra. Departure times and prices can be seen at the port. Also, you can inquire on our Facebook group Live from Greece for members’ experiences.

If you wish, you can start organized diving even if you are a beginner, and with organized bus transport, you can visit Thessaloniki and Meteora.

From Kassandra, you can also see and enjoy the great water park, which you can read more about in our article here: Waterland in Thessaloniki.

The prices of the mentioned excursions are around 35€ per person and include one meal.

On Kassandra, there are also slightly different excursions compared to those offered in Sithonia and Athos, so you can also opt for a day of sailing with more people or rent a sailboat just for yourself. Such excursions cost around 60€ with included drinks or meals. There are also cruises with more luxurious sailboats and yachts that cost just under 1000€ (for rent). On these cruises, besides all three fingers of Halkidiki, you can also visit the Sporades. Of course, renting boats, water sports, and safaris are always an option for an interesting time spent on Kassandra.
