How to reach Pesada Beach

The beach is located in Pesada, on the southeastern coast of Kefalonia, approximately 12 km southeast of the main town of Argostoli, near the village of Spartia. This small village is part of the Leivatho municipality and generally remains uncrowded, making it an ideal place for a tranquil vacation and enjoyment of the untouched nature of Kefalonia.

To reach the beach, one must descend through stairs that wind through lush greenery, like a green tunnel. The path is not difficult and offers a phenomenal view of nature as you descend towards the sea. At the bottom of the stairs, you arrive at a small, hidden cove - the pebbly Pesada Beach.

Pesada features two coves:

  • Pebble Cove (left): Crystal clear water and entirely pebbly seabed. Ideal for a peaceful swim.

  • Sun and shade: The sun sets quickly behind the surrounding rocks, so the day may be shorter. The first part of the beach offers natural shade under the greenery. In the sandy cove, shade can be found under large rocks, especially in the latter part of the day.
  • What to bring: Water, food, and drinks, as there are no bars on the beach. Ideal for a full day stay.
