In the east side of the island, at about 12km from Skala to the north, driving on the road that stretches along the shore, the port of Poros is located, from which the ferries of Levante Ferries take off to the place called Kilini on the Peloponnese.

Poros is a small town, with beautiful but narrow, sandy-pebbly beach.

Unlike other bigger towns on the island, this port is not often visited by tourists, therefore in the absence of a tourist bustle, the place is quiet and peaceful. In other words, it is the right place for rest.

There is the central promenade in the along the beach, where many taverns with open gardens and souvenir shops are located. Behind the beach is a paved plateau with benches where you can enjoy the view of the sea. Not far from the beach and the central square, there is a large and modern children’s playground, and on the beach itself there is the old traditional Romanza restaurant.

Behind the harbor, surrounded by small sandy bays, by the sea, lies a little cafe bar hidden in the rock, modernly decorated in the shape of a ship, called Remetzo.
