In Nikiti there are 4 big supermarkets which are well supplied, but even so, the Market that opens on Fridays is highly visited.
On Fridays is actually a closing time of the road, which is, from the direction of Thessaloniki, right after the traffic lights on the left side of the road, and that leads to the old part of Nikiti. The marketplace is large and the frist thing you see are the stalls with fruit trees, vegetables and flowers, and than the stalls of fruit and vegetables are lined up towards the old Nikiti. In this part of the market you can find various types of honey, fish, meat, cheese… Offer of fruits and vegetables is great, and prices are lower than in the groceries in town. Vendors accept the bargain. The small street on the right is reserved to the stalls with footwear, apparel, bags, souvenirs and things for the house (curtains, sheets …).On the left side of the market you can find local olives of all types, from the smallest to the largest, green, black, dry, from various fields, with almonds, garlic …there are also spices, homemade teas, dried fruits…

Market is open from 10 to 14h and is an ideal option for larger supply during the summer.
