Our description

Athorama Hotel is a beautifully maintained accommodation in a large courtyard full of greenery, in a very quiet location near Ouranupolis. The service is based on half board in clean and comfortable rooms for 1-5 people. Amenities include private parking, nice and spacious backyard with a corner for children, swimming pool (with a part for children), gazebo and a barbecue. Small pets are welcome.

The beach with sand and pebbles is 850m away. Center, supermarket, bakery and restaurants are 5km away.

The hotel has 45 rooms, spread over eight buildings surrounded by greenery, flowers, trees and paths. It's located on a hill above the highway.

The rooms (20-25m2) are comfortable and with different layout, some consist of one or two rooms and some are on two levels. All are air-conditioned, have a TV, small fridge, safe box, hairdryer, terrace and a bathroom with shower cabin, bath or tiled shower area.

Towels are replaced as needed, bed linen is replaced after three nights and cleaning is performed every day.

Half of the rooms have a direct sea view and half have a side sea view. Some rooms have satellite TV, mosquito nets and a tumble dryer. Internet access is available only in public areas. Umbrella and deck chairs are available upon request.

The accommodation is suitable for people with disabilities (in rooms whose bathrooms have tiled shower area). The central building has an elevator.

The pool is surrounded by deck chairs, tables and chairs under the vines from where you can enjoy the view. There's also a shower available.

The reception is open from 6:00 to midnight.

Only a stone's throw away from the unique World Heritage Site of Mount Athos lies Hotel Athorama. Embedded in an olive grove of 30000m2, an ideal location for our guests to enjoy the privilege of a rejuvenating and relaxing atmosphere. A perfect starting point for a holiday of comfort and physical but also mental wellness. Just 31 rooms on the slope of a hill, totally adjusted to the natural surroundings. We welcome you to our hotel.

You're on the peninsula of Mount Athos. A place with worldwide cultural value, significant for the Orthodox Christians. But like any important religious place, is also a source of inspiration and teaching for all people. Close to this environment, our hotel is addressed to people who give value to simple and relaxing holiday away from the crowds, in a region that has much to offer to both body and spirit. Gazing at the peak of Athos, the island of Ammouliani, the peninsula of Sithonia and listening to the twittering of birds, take the opportunity to discover the sounds and smells of the Athonite nature.

The hotel has a total of 21 rooms in the main building and 10 suites in three separate buildings. Almost every building and every room has its own character. Different colors, furniture, bathroom, curtains, floor. All rooms have a fridge, satellite TV (all free of Hot Bird 13 channels), wireless internet free of charge (WiFi) and air conditioning. I hope you will not come all this way, to spend your vacation watching TV and surfing the internet, sealed in an air-conditioned room. Furthermore, due to its location, there is almost always a breeze to cool and the the pool or sea for the very hot days. The microclimate of the area is dry and the distance from the sea gives the advantage of lack of moisture for a good and refreshing sleep.

Let's see just some of the things you can do. Most of you will surely enjoy the sandy beaches, while fewer will discover the quiet and secluded. Worth visiting are the island Ammouliani and the islets Drenia that promise to satisfy all tastes. The grove of Aristotle, ancient Stagira and ancient Acanthus betray the history of the area and cause for a trip through time. And of course the Holy Mountain of Athos, which thanks to its global cultural value, has joined the list of the World Heritage Sites of UNESCO. The cruise about Mount Athos is for all while visiting the monasteries is only for men. Twenty monasteries compose a living museum of Byzantine and post-Byzantine art, designating a unique place on our planet, dedicated to the Orthodox Christian faith.
