The landlady, Popi, speaks very little English (only a few words), but she is exceptionally kind. However, if you need anything, communication can be quite challenging, reducing interactions to her asking if everything is okay, and you responding affirmatively. The apartments are spacious, but I found the lack of storage for clothing to be an issue; we had nothing but hangers for our clothes. The kitchen is rather poorly equipped; we lacked a large knife, a ladle, a serving spoon... there was only one pot and one pan available, and the oven cannot be used as there is no baking tray. There is just one small coffee pot that can brew only one cup of coffee at a time, despite the apartment being designed for four people, so by the time the last person brews their coffee, the first one has already finished theirs. The bathroom lacks a soap holder and toothbrush holder (these are small, inexpensive items that make a significant difference). The air conditioning unit is poorly positioned and only cools one room (it is evident that space was left in the other room for an AC unit, but whether it will ever be installed remains uncertain...). In my opinion, the mattresses on the beds are rather too firm. I am not dissatisfied; I merely believe that with minimal investment, this accommodation could be exceptional.

Considering the price being charged for this type of apartment, I have a few remarks that some might consider trivial, but I believe these are fundamental things that a lodging must have, especially when you arrive with children and prepare meals for them. When I entered the apartment, I found barely four forks, a few small spoons, and they were mismatched. The same goes for the cups, a pair of which were almost unmatched, and the plates as well... It’s not a problem that they are mismatched; what matters is that everyone has their own plate, drinks from their own cup, has their own fork and spoon. After that, tired from the journey, I realize that I have nothing to brew coffee in, as I don’t have a coffee pot, I have no way to wash my hands because there is no soap, no dishwashing liquid, nor a sponge, and the owner mentioned that the kitchen is maintained clean! It’s not a problem; I go to the store and buy all that... it’s a small expense for the owners, and it would be nice to have these things in the apartment, wouldn’t it? In the kitchen cupboard, I have only one large pot and one large frying pan. I don’t have a big knife, a bread board, a ladle... half of the basic items are missing from the apartment! I can’t even make soup from a packet for the kids properly, without a ladle in a huge pot :D I go downstairs to talk to Popi, she doesn’t understand English, we communicate with hands and feet... she brings me a coffee pot... thank you... The next day, I go downstairs again to get a knife to cut the watermelon, of course, she doesn’t understand anything, and after my pantomime, she brings me a ladle, at that moment I realize that I don’t have that either... great, just give me whatever you have... The television wasn’t working... it doesn’t matter, what do I need a tiny TV for that serves no purpose? It’s easier for me to hang my tablet on the wall and watch. But, that really didn’t bother me, we watch so much TV that we didn’t even complain to the owners about these things... but I’m writing this just in case it might be useful for someone to know in advance... A major complaint - the air conditioning, which is positioned in such a way that you freeze in one room if you think you can make it to the other room... We were there during what seemed to be the worst heat, the nights were unbearable, so you only had the option of freezing in one room, while in the other, God forbid, you might catch a bit of shade... These are all "trivial" things that don’t cost the owners much, especially compared to the price of accommodation. This is the first time I’ve encountered such problems; at first, I was angry, disappointed, and then completely bewildered because I couldn’t understand the logic behind the owner missing basic items in the kitchen... what use is a kitchen in the accommodation if it’s not equipped, just for decoration? Why am I paying for an apartment when I would have taken a hotel if I hadn’t planned to prepare food myself :D I spoke with a woman who was staying with her family next to us, and they were missing items in the kitchen too... conclusion - we are not the only ones... Popi (the owner) is very kind. Of course, when we don’t understand each other. She asks everything: is everything alright, is everything good, and when you say it’s not, you’re in trouble because she doesn’t understand you, and then the pantomime and agony begin... It’s easiest to just nod your head, smile, and everything is fine. All in all, I don’t want my comment to be taken as a comment in a totally negative sense; objectively, I believe these are important things that need to be mentioned. Secondly, I give all praises for cleanliness! Truly, Popi and her husband, as far as I’ve seen, maintain everything themselves! They clean often, and the linens and towels are changed every four days. It’s clean enough to earn a five-star rating! And my greatest praise goes to Nikana!!! The apartments and their owners, Popi and Nikos, deserve a perfect score of ten for everything - the apartments are brand new, featuring modern designs (they look even more beautiful in person than in pictures), with towel changes and room cleaning every other day. We had two separate rooms in the apartment that were exceptionally comfortable, with a large terrace accessible from both rooms. The kitchen and utensils are all new and carefully selected, and the owners are incredibly kind, a wonderful family. Popi and Nikos are constantly present at the property, ensuring top-notch security. The staff is always available for anything you need, making you feel right at home. I highly recommend this accommodation; you won't go wrong. Additionally, Lefkas as a city is an excellent choice for exploring beautiful Lefkada. Considering that Lefkada has the most beautiful sea we have seen in Greece, if we return, we have no doubt where we will stay - Lux Apartments with Popi and Nikos.

Specifically, the owners are, in our opinion, overly curious; they spend most of their time on the terrace right at the entrance, observing when guests arrive and depart. Towels were replaced only once during our ten-day stay. Moreover, during this change, the cooling power of the refrigerator was reduced to a minimum :). They mention that the air conditioning does not work well, which is not true; rather, they simply do not wish to use it as often. Naturally, they will remind you not to throw toilet paper into the toilet, which is absurd, but it seems to be the case everywhere. Their poor command of English is somewhat understandable considering they are older individuals, but it would be beneficial to provide any recommendations for first-time visitors. After we paid the deposit and received the phone number of the lady, we called and sent messages, even in Greek, but no one ever responded. Consequently, we had to embark on our journey without any confirmation that everything was alright, which is not exactly simple when traveling 1000 km. Overall, the accommodation deserves a ten, but the owners are slightly lacking.

However, I would like to share a few words about the owners. For the first two days, the water pressure was such that we couldn't take a shower. We reported this to the owner, Popi, who explained that the problem was not in the house but in Lefkada. We went to the apartment below and asked them to check their water pressure, which was excellent. So, the issue was in our house, not at the island level. We reached out to Nikani for assistance, and after half an hour of their intervention, the water pressure in our apartment was excellent as well. Thank you, Nikani! After 2-3 days, the owners waited for us in the lobby and told us to reduce the use of the air conditioning. They created an uncomfortable situation, and the children started to cry. I truly do not understand this primitiveness. Every day we leave the apartment at noon and return at 8 PM, and they want us to reduce the use of air conditioning. During those days, the temperature reached 34 degrees in Lefkada, and the nights were sweltering... Perhaps our experience will mean something to someone! Best regards!

This is the tenth day of our stay, and we have nothing but praise for these apartments. Everything is new, high-quality, and meticulously arranged. The air conditioning is complimentary, and both the doors and windows are fitted with mosquito nets and blinds, although there are currently no mosquitoes. The apartments are exceptionally clean, with linen changed every three days. For over ten years, we have been vacationing in Greece, and we have never encountered such kind hosts. Every few days, they check in to see if everything is alright, if we are satisfied, and if we need anything. They are always available and eager to assist with whatever we require. The accommodation is located a 6-7 minute walk from the center, close enough yet secluded, ensuring a peaceful and quiet night’s sleep. Parking in front of the house is secure, and the road to the island's most beautiful beaches is just 50 meters away, so you don't have to drive through the center and avoid traffic congestion.
