The host was exceptionally kind. We arrived as early as 11 AM and received a clean, ready room. The view from the terrace was stunning, and the location was excellent. The only drawback was the beds, which were quite small; the double bed was insufficient for a husband who is 185 cm tall, so please keep that in mind.

The accommodation is situated above a tavern, and the aroma of food wafts onto the terrace. Everything else is excellent; the proximity to the beach and the cleanliness of the accommodation are commendable.

The hygiene at Maro Haus is at the highest level, and the entire property with the yard is impeccably clean. The price of accommodation relative to the quality is entirely fair. We would gladly vacation again next year in the same place and in the same accommodation, specifically at Maro Haus.

The accommodation at Maro House met all our needs. We were settled in a triple studio. The studio is not very large, but it has everything you need. The hygiene is of a high standard, with towels and bed linens changed every third day, and the rooms are cleaned regularly. There are mosquito nets, and the terrace is lovely. The location is the best! The hosts welcomed us warmly, and they were very kind and unobtrusive. The use of air conditioning is not charged extra, and the WiFi is good. Private parking is provided. Highly commendable!

Before I booked accommodation at House Maro, I read the reviews of previous guests, who were thorough, realistic, and I knew what to expect. I was welcomed by the host Panos and his lovely wife, who are exceptionally kind, pleasant, positive, always available to help, yet unobtrusive. Throughout my stay, I felt comfortable and welcomed as a guest. When I noticed that I had a flat tire in the parking lot, I sought help from Panos. Together we removed the tire, put on the spare, and went to a nearby vulcanizer in Sikija where they repaired my punctured tire and mounted it back on the car. All of this cost me just 5 euros! The assistance from the host is truly commendable and invaluable. Previous guests have already described things quite realistically, but I feel the need to reiterate and emphasize some points. I was accommodated in a three-bedroom apartment with a sea view. The pictures on Nikana accurately depict the apartment. It is a spacious apartment with a large terrace and a wonderful view of the beach and the sea. Impeccably clean, with cleaning, linen, and towel changes every three days. The smell of food from the restaurant was sometimes noticeable but not intense enough to spoil the ambiance of sitting on the terrace. However, it did occasionally whet the appetite at inconvenient times. The unfortunate positioning of the air conditioning unit is a minor issue that can be easily resolved by adjusting the air direction manually away from the bed. I needed just 3 cm of tape for that. Early in the morning, the sound of garbage collection vehicles can be heard, which was not an issue for me as I am an early riser, and it can also be resolved by closing the terrace door. Previous guests mentioned the septic tank emptiers, which are indeed present, but there are no unpleasant odors, and I view that positively. Better for the sewage to go into a tank than into the sea, as is the case in some other places. Kalamici is a peaceful and lovely little place, with 3-4 restaurants and a couple of markets. The chatter heard throughout the day and evening is pleasant, and everything quiets down around midnight. On the beautiful beach, in my opinion, there is a bit more crowding. A larger part of the beach is occupied by sun loungers, but there is still enough space for your gear. The clean sea and beautiful beach allow you to spend your entire stay in Kalamici, while also providing the opportunity to visit several attractive beaches nearby. The markets are modestly stocked, so if someone needs to do serious shopping, they must go to Sikija or a bit further to Sarti. I would love to say that I will return to Kalamici, but I love Greece and want to visit and see as many places as possible. However, I definitely recommend Kalamici and especially House Maro to anyone looking for a peaceful vacation. The kindest hosts we have encountered so far. The family is exceptionally nice, attentive, and warm, that we forgot about some things that were not ideal. They made sure that we lacked absolutely nothing, and everything we requested was fulfilled additionally. We were accommodated in an apartment with a sea view. Although small and not particularly comfortable, it has everything necessary. The terrace is spacious, and we enjoyed our time there. As for the smells from the restaurant located below, we did not particularly notice it nor was it bothersome when it was present. Everything was impeccably clean, and the bed linens and towels were changed every three days. Wifi worked excellently most of the time. The accommodation is right on the beach, in the best part, making it perfect for relaxation; we went down several times a day. The gyros, which is also on the ground floor, is excellent. We found the tavern next door to be better than the one below the apartment, as the staff is friendlier. Prices are slightly higher than in Sarti, but not significantly. You can drive there for larger shopping. The supermarket is 20 meters away and has all the essentials, and in the morning, they have pastries for breakfast. The biggest downside of the accommodation is what has been mentioned several times in the comments, which is the air conditioning that cannot be adjusted so that it does not blow directly on the bed. It did not bother us much since we went in September, and only 2-3 nights were really warm, but I assume that during the season it is a bigger problem because there is no way for it to work at night, and it gets extremely hot in the apartment without a draft. Also, there are quite a few mosquitoes in the evening (this is not the hosts' fault, just a note).

Above all, the owners were exceptional, and I am truly glad that we chose to stay with them. The accommodation was immaculate and conveniently located near the beach. I wholeheartedly recommend it to everyone.

The accommodation is exceptionally clean; upon entering for the first time, everything simply "smells" of cleanliness. The apartment is spacious and features a generous terrace with a direct and beautiful view of the sea. The beach is easily accessible by crossing the street. The owners of the accommodation are very kind and accommodating. Here are a few things that bothered me: - The position of the air conditioning is such that when it is turned on, it blows directly onto the bed, making it impossible to sleep with the air conditioning on. Moreover, the flaps on the air conditioning are stuck, directing the airflow right onto the pillows. - The apartment is located above the tavern's kitchen, which slightly warms it; when I walk barefoot on the tiles, I feel warmth in some places. This only exacerbates the issue with the air conditioning. I believe that if the air conditioning unit were placed in a better location, these two problems could be resolved. - After the tavern closes, the workers remain for a while and, relaxing after a long workday, they chat loudly, with one of the women laughing so heartily that the entire neighborhood resonates with her laughter (cheerful people). - Hardly a day goes by without a truck appearing to empty the septic tank in this property or the one next door. The truck is noisy, and if I want to leave the accommodation, I have to pass by it, thus I navigate around it and jump over the hose it uses to empty the septic tank. - The accommodation is located on the main promenade where vehicles also pass. When the truck goes by in front of the accommodation, it feels as though it has passed through my room. Perhaps I have emphasized the negative aspects too much; my stay in the accommodation was mostly pleasant, and for someone who complains less, all of this would probably not be an issue. Nevertheless, if I return to Kalimici, I will not choose this accommodation again.

The landlady is very kind and talkative, always at your service. We vacationed with a 10-month-old baby, so cleanliness of the apartment was crucial for us, but we never imagined it could be this clean. This is the cleanest apartment we have ever stayed in during our vacations. Hats off!

What must be emphasized right away is that the cleanliness is at an incredible level. Cleaner than any 5-star hotel. The hosts do not speak English, but they are more than willing to assist with anything needed; we always manage to communicate through gestures and various means. We have no complaints; the terraces are spacious and clean, perfect for enjoyment, even with small children, as there is no fear—the fence is high and sturdy. The kitchen is fully equipped, and it feels as if we are the first to use everything. Cleaning occurs every three days, meaning that in ten days, the cleaners came twice, thoroughly cleaning everything, and the towels are changed— for a triple room, you receive three large towels, three smaller ones, and an additional hand towel, along with a dishcloth. The beach is just across the street, invaluable; nothing in Kalamitsi is far away. Beautiful accommodation, wonderful people, and the most beautiful beach in Sithonia!

An excellent location, just 10 meters from the beach, with extremely friendly hosts Maro and Kosta, who are always ready to assist you. Towels and bed linens are changed every three days, along with a thorough cleaning of the apartment. Secured parking is a significant advantage in Kalamiciju. While the apartments could be a bit larger, the location and the kindness of the hosts compensate for this shortcoming.

During the period from June 23 to July 3, 2018, we stayed in a three-bed accommodation, specifically in the 3M studio on the second floor, which accommodated two adults and two children aged 3 and 6, located behind the Zorbas tavern. The accommodation was exceptionally clean, beautifully furnished, and well-maintained. The owners were very kind and approachable. We truly enjoyed the place; the beach was just a couple of steps away, and there was a market that offered all the essential groceries. A small truck selling fruits and vegetables passed by every day and parked near Dimitris fast food, where the gyros was excellent. We also recommend the Zorbas tavern. We stayed at Maro House in August 2017 and were pleased with the service we received. The hosts were exceptionally kind and friendly, always ready to assist with anything needed. I would like to emphasize that the apartment was remarkably clean, one of the cleanest we have ever stayed in. The apartments are cleaned every three days, and the entire apartment is scrubbed, not just the floors dampened. Towels are also changed every three days. The apartment features a large terrace, which was important for us, and offers a beautiful view of the sea. The beach is right in front of the house. There is also a tavern on the premises, and music can be heard throughout the day, but it did not bother us, and by around 11 PM, everything quiets down. The location lacks any amenities, but that is likely known to anyone who chooses Kalamitsi. What did not suit us was that the air conditioning unit was directly above the bed, making it impossible to turn it on. We moved the beds so it became manageable. I should mention that there is only one market, if it can be called that, where fruits and vegetables are more expensive than in larger supermarkets, so that should be kept in mind. There is secured parking nearby the house, so that is not a concern. I rate the price-quality ratio with three stars, solely because I believe that for 1,000 euros, one should receive ultra-luxury in terms of accommodation, but that is a broader issue across Greece. In any case, we had a pleasant stay, it was clean, and I hope this description has helped someone.

We were accommodated in a 4+1 apartment. The beds were comfortable; in one room, we had a double bed and an extra bed, while the other room featured a bunk bed and a small kitchen with a stove (small and large burners). The terrace is spacious, offering a beautiful view of the sea and ample space for the five of us. The cleanliness is commendable, with towels and bed linens being impeccable. The owners, a married couple named Maro (after whom the accommodation is named) and Kostas, are both very warm and approachable; communication often took place through smiles. There is private parking for guests in close proximity.

Honestly, throughout all our vacations in Greece, we have never encountered any issues with room cleanliness, but I believe House Maro stands out for its exceptionally high standard of cleanliness. Every three days, we received completely changed towels, bed linens, kitchen cloths, and tablecloths on the terrace, and the room was even scented. In every corner of the yard or on the stairs, you could find a broom, a mop, and a bucket for cleaning the floor, should you need them. Additionally, an important note - there is always hot water :) I won’t even mention the proximity of the beach - it is literally just ten steps from the Maro house, and the parking is also very close (currently accommodating around 15 vehicles, if I observed correctly, but once expanded, it will be excellent), shops are located both left and right of the accommodation, and restaurants and cafes are directly in front. Truly, the location is outstanding. The hosts, Mrs. Maro and her husband Mr. Kosta, are always smiling, very friendly, and ready to assist. They lent us some dried oregano for our spaghetti, an umbrella when we were caught in a brief downpour, and gave us warm hugs upon our departure. Although they speak very little English, there were no issues in communication. Dear Sir/Madam, we are extremely pleased with our accommodation at Maro House. The hosts are exceptionally warm and accommodating. The cleanliness of the accommodation is outstanding. The beach is nearby, yet the noise from the beach and taverns is hardly noticeable. Parking is provided. We might have missed a few items in the kitchen (a spoon, a cutting board), but we managed! Sometimes, a coffee pot can substitute for a spoon! The place is small, yet offers ample amenities. The beach is pristine. At the café/pizzeria Paralia, drinks are ordered for the rental of sunbeds and umbrellas, with no restrictions. The young man working there is friendly and humorous. There are two markets available. The selection of fruits and vegetables is not always excellent. Keep your evening stroll attire to a minimum unless you plan to visit Neos, Sarti, or Toroni. A big greeting to the Nikana team! I wholeheartedly recommend Maro House. The owners are an elderly couple whose kindness and attentiveness are a rarity in today’s world. Everything mentioned in the description is absolutely accurate: private parking, excellent Wi-Fi connection in every apartment, towels and linens are changed every 3-4 days (we had them changed twice during our 10-night stay), a spacious terrace for dining, and the beach is just across the street (you only need to cross a small road). I highly recommend this accommodation. Additionally, I recommend Kalamitsi for anyone looking to truly relax, where each day unfolds as follows: waking up, swimming, lunch, a short rest, more swimming, relaxing in the apartment, and sleeping.

Maro House is just a few steps away from the sea. The apartment terraces overlook the sea, the beach, and the restaurants located right below. It is very clean and tastefully decorated. They have their own parking. The only downside is that the air conditioning is positioned in such a way that it is practically unusable when you are in bed, as it blows directly at you. Given that the air conditioning is small and far away, the cool air does not reach the kitchenette where the bunk bed is located at all. Additionally, the refrigerator is right next to the bed, with a countertop above it, causing warm air to constantly rise from above the refrigerator (as if a heater is practically on). Overall, the location is exceptional, the terrace and the view are beautiful, and everything is clean. It is worth staying here!

Below is the Zorbas restaurant, which serves excellent food. Every dish we tried was wonderfully prepared. The apartments are clean, and the linens and towels are changed every three days, with everything thoroughly arranged. The apartment is equipped with all the dishes, cutlery, and everything you need. The owners are very kind and friendly people. The beach is sandy, and the sea is clean, without wind and waves. Sun loungers are free, but usually, you need to pay for drink consumption. The place is small, with two shops, three restaurants, a pizzeria, and an ice cream shop. Sarti is very close. There is no nightlife. It is a perfect spot for a holiday with small children.
