We vacationed at this accommodation from July 10 to July 20, 2024, and we can say that we are quite satisfied. The accommodation was exactly what we expected and was accurately represented on the Nikana website. The studio is small, but we were aware of that when we made the reservation, so it did not bother us. It is clean and partially renovated. In front of the studio, there is a reasonably large terrace that offers a splendid view of the sea. The beach is just a few steps away, which is the greatest advantage of this accommodation; the water is shallow, calm, and very warm. The beach is uncrowded, and with the accommodation, you receive your own sunbeds and umbrella. All in all, it's ideal for children. Efi is very kind, and the restaurant she runs in front is excellent. Prices are the same or similar to those in Serbia, and the food is outstanding. Compared to other restaurants in Greece, the prices are quite reasonable. For instance, moussaka costs 7 euros, calamari 10 euros, and beans 5 euros. The special offer, which includes fish, salad, and a glass of wine, costs 15 euros. Of course, I assume it is frozen fish, but that does not change the essence. Fresh fish is around 50 euros per kilogram, as it is everywhere, but I mention the prices only as examples. Overall, we chose this accommodation for its proximity to a wonderful beach that offers all the comforts. The price is slightly higher for the studio, but you are paying for the location and, as someone wrote, the beautiful view from the terrace, plus you receive sunbeds and umbrellas on the beach. For those who do not prioritize comfort in the studio, this accommodation is quite good. The Wi-Fi is very good for Greece; we even had it on the beach. The air conditioning worked almost non-stop due to the high temperatures, and the water was always warm. Efi brought the bed linens and towels on the fifth day.

Until now, we have not stayed in accommodation that we would not return to, but this is one of those cases, unfortunately. The unbearable stench from the septic tank was a daily agony for the family that came to relax and enjoy those ten days. Moreover, the accordion-try-bathroom door does not seal, allowing gas to seep into the space where humans reside, and it also creates a terrible noise when opening and closing. Other expedition members will surely be aware of every trip you make to the toilet at any hour of the day or night, complete with live coverage and all the sound effects from the room. We tried to ignore it, but it is simply impossible; existential and basic living conditions, as well as human dignity, are at stake. The faucet in the sink is broken, water is gushing all over the kitchen, creating a flood across the cabinets and floor, even reaching the electrical cables. Towels and bed linens are only changed if you ask the landlady. We found this out on the eighth day. The internet is very poor. The network either doesn't exist or lacks bandwidth. A beautiful and spacious terrace. Between the terraces, there is only a curtain that the draft lifts, allowing for close contact between neighboring families, which we don't all appreciate. The beach is nearby and beautiful, but that is no credit to the landlady. I regret to say, for the first time I do NOT RECOMMEND this accommodation.

We stayed from June 17th to June 26th, 2024, and everything was excellent. The beach and accommodation are perfect for small children. The water is beautiful, clean, and has a long shallow area. The landlady, Efi, is wonderful; she even provided us with clean bedding on the fifth day, which we hadn't even counted on. Additionally, we had one sun umbrella and two loungers, as well as the use of air conditioning without any extra charge. The restaurant owned by Efi is fantastic, with excellent food and reasonable prices. Many people from nearby places come for lunch and dinner specifically to this restaurant. There is parking available in front. Those with small children don’t need to carry anything since everything is literally right in front of the accommodation. The accommodation itself is good, as if it has been renovated. There is nothing to buy in terms of toys or souvenirs here, but Sarti is close, so we went there whenever we wanted. The terrace offers a phenomenal view of the sea. I recommend this accommodation for anyone looking for a vacation, especially those with small children, and if you ever crave some noise, Sarti is nearby. :)

Exceptional accommodation, the hostess is extremely kind, as is the restaurant staff. Of course, as always, what is presented in the pictures and the agency's description is indeed true. It is a peaceful, genuine vacation by the crystal-clear sea...

The accommodation is beautifully designed, situated in a peaceful location, and ideal for families with small children who prefer not to be overly active. The beach is sandy and narrow, but perfectly sufficient for playing in the sand. The shallow area is quite long; the only complaint is that they could clean the beach a bit more often, as it seems they do not notice what the sea brings in, and we had to remove trash a few times. The rooms are decent, a classic Greek style for the price. The only issue is that room number 4 has a problem with sealing in the kitchen, resulting in a frequent smell of the septic tank, especially during peak shower times. We complained to Efi, who is very kind, and she immediately called the cleaning service, but after a few days, the problem reoccurred, so I am writing this because it is definitely a persistent issue. We rented three rooms with friends, and only room 4 had this problem. Otherwise, Efi is great; she doesn't speak English, which makes communication a bit challenging, but fortunately, there is always a waiter from the tavern to translate. The tavern is excellent, the food is great, and the prices are standard. They do not change linens and towels; instead, they provide them for you to change yourself when you ask, meaning no one enters the room during your stay.

Apartment number 2 (the second one on the left) where we stayed does not justify the price at which it is rented, but the terrace and the view from it are worth even more. A significant drawback is the poor kitchen and bathroom. The biggest issue of the entire accommodation is the lizards that constantly appear in the apartment, emerging from the paneling on the ceiling. The landlady is friendly, although she only speaks Greek, and we managed to communicate. It is advisable to bring your own towels from home, as theirs are quite poor. We peeked into apartment number 3, which is somewhat renovated. The bathroom is excellent, and the kitchen is acceptable. Overall, the terrace and the location by the beach somewhat redeem the entire situation. The restaurant owned by the landlady is quite good, with reasonable prices and decent food, and on the beach, their umbrellas and sunbeds are not charged regardless of how many you take, and drinks (which do not need to be ordered) are also reasonably priced, cheaper than at other beaches.

The stunning view of the sea and the decent bathroom, albeit without a curtain, are quite satisfactory; it is clean and well-kept. I recommend it for families with children. The hosts are very courteous.

Wonderful! The sea, the beach, the tavern. The accommodation is somewhat old-fashioned, but if that doesn't bother you, the beautiful terrace with a view of the sea and palm trees balances it out. All the best!

During our stay at EFI, my family and I vacationed from August 1, 2016, to August 11, 2016. We were in studio number 3. My impressions are somewhat mixed, as there are aspects I am very satisfied with and others I am not satisfied with at all. To begin with, I would like to emphasize that everything written in the description and all the pictures you see are exactly as they are, and nothing is different in reality from what you see on the website. The accommodation is in an exceptional location. I believe it is no more than 30 steps to the sandy beach, which has a shallow area up to the waist for about 60 meters. It is excellent for children, but a bit boring for swimmers. On the beach, there are free sun loungers and straw umbrellas available for accommodation guests. Although it is windy in the morning (not an annoying wind), this beach is always very calm with small waves, unlike the surrounding beaches. A downside is that seaweed accumulates, making the sea look dirty (only when it is windy), but it’s not terrible. The owners of the accommodation also have a tavern right by the beach, and right next to the tavern is a small bar where you can order refreshments, ice cream, etc., and you get sun loungers with your ordered drink (this does not apply to accommodation residents). What bothered me about the beach were cigarette butts and litter that were not cleaned up from the previous day. I do not expect the beach to be cleared of seaweed, leaves, and branches that fall from the trees behind (although some beaches I visited do this), but at least cigarette butts, cans, and wrappers could be picked up at the end of the day. I do not justify the lack of culture of individuals who leave trash behind, but someone has to clean it up. Besides the mini bar I mentioned, there is a tidy toilet (with attendants), and on the beach, as well as in front of the accommodation, there are showers. All in all, the beach is very good. As for the tavern itself, I can’t say much because we cooked for ourselves, but most other guests dined at the tavern. When we entered the accommodation, my wife, as in all previous years, thoroughly inspected everything, cleaned, and sprayed with disinfectant because we were traveling with two small children. The owners state in their description that they are not responsible for cleaning during guests' stays, but it seemed like they were not responsible at all, as I believe that when you enter, the accommodation should be clean. My wife found a bundle of hair next to the bed and in the bathtub, dusty cabinets, etc. An exceptionally quiet location, perfect for relaxation and full of greenery, seems to be both an advantage and a disadvantage of this accommodation. It is located at the foot of a bushy hill, so various lizards and ants are the local wildlife. You can often see lizards on the terrace; they are harmless, but it was not very pleasant when we found them one day in the room and in the bathroom. Personally, they do not bother me, and I am not afraid of them, unlike other family members, but realistically, it’s not the same when you think that they might be in the room with you at night. I think the problem is the dilapidated wooden paneling on the walls and ceiling, which they crawl through. Later, I read that lizards carry various bacteria, so we kept all food exclusively in the refrigerator, and we didn’t leave dishes out because we found lizard droppings in the kitchen above the stove. The terrace is phenomenal and worth every penny. You have an excellent view of the sea and beach, it is spacious, and it has plastic furniture that is not the most comfortable. There is shade from 10 AM, and we only turned on the air conditioning in the evening, although we didn’t really have to, which is one of the advantages of this accommodation. You can literally call the kids to come for food and refreshments. In the evening, after 10 PM, there is usually no hot water or it is lukewarm at best, and this is probably due to the shade I just described, so the solar panels receive little sunlight. There were no mosquitoes at all (maybe these lizards take care of them). The kitchen is spacious. The refrigerator has a freezer compartment, and it mostly has all the utensils, although we used our own dishes and utensils. A downside is the burner on the stove, where it takes about 20 minutes (literally that long) for the water to boil for coffee. The bathroom is cramped and old, with cracked tiles, a doorknob that stays in your hand, and a broken towel holder. All windows have mosquito nets. The owners are okay; they are not rude, but I think their focus is on the restaurant, so they do not think much about the accommodation. You will get clean towels and linens only if you ask. Only the waiter speaks English. There is always parking available. The TV only receives one channel, although we never needed a TV while at the beach. Wi-Fi works in the restaurant, on the beach, but it struggles to reach the terrace (sometimes yes, sometimes no). The surrounding beaches are phenomenal, and we visited them in the afternoon when we went for a second round of swimming. All the downsides I mentioned did not ruin the wonderful vacation, as this is a place truly meant for relaxation, but they did slightly tarnish the impression. I believe that hygiene and hot water are basic things that should be ensured, regardless of whether the accommodation price is 10 euros or 200 euros, and the price difference should be created by comfort, aesthetics, proximity to the beach, additional services, etc. This issue with lizards should be assessed individually by each person to see if it bothers them or not. All of this is my personal opinion and a matter of expectations. Next to us was a family of five from Germany with whom we socialized, and they were not bothered by it at all. They have been coming here for four consecutive years. My advice to NIKANA is to make an effort to personally visit as many accommodations as possible, as your comments are the most authoritative. Regardless of the fact that you are only intermediaries, the pictures and descriptions provided by the owners are on your website. Two years ago, I booked accommodation through you on Thassos (and I will do so again next year), and everything was perfect. When you exclude these downsides I mentioned, this is a true spa.

Efi room is a house with four studios, ideal for a peaceful retreat. The studio features a spacious room and a generously sized kitchen equipped with a supplementary plastic table. The kitchen boasts natural ventilation (double window) and excellent artificial ventilation (extractor fan). It includes a mini stove with two quick burners and an oven without a wire, which I believe works better due to the lower heating element. I managed to bake a pie. The refrigerator is smaller. The cookware includes a pot and a frying pan (Greek classics) along with a sufficient number of plates for a family of four (deep, large, and small shallow plates). The only drawback of the kitchen is the absence of a ladle. I am sure we requested one and would have received it, but we found the beaches and the view more intriguing. Perhaps a better knife and a cutting board would be beneficial (I used a large shallow plate), if we are discussing details. The bathroom is older but tidy. There are screens everywhere, although they weren't necessary while we were there (until July 1) as there were no mosquitoes. There are many harmless little lizards of interesting pink color hiding behind the blinds. You might be fortunate enough to witness one of them having its dinner, a grasshopper. What delights me about this studio is the spacious terrace, which is shaded throughout the day and offers an excellent view of the sea. If you are in studio number 4, like us, you have a "terrace extension" on the left side, namely a slab from an unfinished structure. The yard is spacious and gently hilly, perfect for children's play. There is guaranteed parking and the possibility to wash your car. There is a shower in the yard and on the beach. The place is tranquil, with 5-6 houses. There is no crowd on the beach. The hosts are kind. They will welcome you with small items that may mean a lot to someone during packing, such as a pack of toilet paper rolls, dishwashing liquid, and sponges. Of course, you have towels (large and small per person) and clean linens. Lastly, the best part. The beach belonging to Efi is sandy with a long shallow area. To the left is the large Sikija beach, which you can reach by walking through the water and collecting little creatures, stars, snails, and fish among the rocks along the way. From there, there is a vivid view of Athos, slightly to the right. The beach is positioned to the northeast. To the right are beautiful small villages with up to ten houses and lovely little beaches. Our favorite is Klimatarija, at the end (about 10 minutes by slow car). A paved road leads to them along the sea, and the first one can be reached on foot in less than 5 minutes with small children. Sarti is to the left, a 10-minute drive away. A colorful town with 800 inhabitants in winter and up to 20,000 in summer. Nearby is the "City of Ghosts," through which you can reach the beaches of Kalamitsi and Tiganija (beautiful beaches, but access requires caution and patience), and it can also lead to Klimatarija, which we do not recommend. A wonderful holiday in almost untouched nature with basic amenities on the beach (shower, toilet, taverna or bar, sometimes even toys for children). In a word, a unique holiday to remember.
