Description

One of the most popular accommodations for Skala Potamia

Rania Studios is an elegant establishment with a large courtyard for children to play, socialize, barbecue, and relax. The location of the villa is excellent considering that all amenities are just a few minutes walk away, and on the other hand, it offers conditions for a peaceful family vacation.

The accommodation is located in Skala Potamia just a hundred meters from the beach and about 400m from the strict center.

The house is divided into two parts, as the right side of the building is elevated compared to the rest of the property when viewed from the front. In the central part of the building, there is a high ground floor, first and second floor, while in the part of the building that is higher than the rest of the property, there is a basement, first, second, and third floor.

Central part of the building:

On the high ground floor, there are four standard studios (28m2) with one double bed and a sofa bed for two. On the first floor, there are three more standard studios, equipped in the same way, as well as one triple luxury studio with a double bed and a sofa bed. An additional bed for children up to 15 years old can be added to this studio, with an extra charge if the children are older than 10 years. On the second floor, there are two luxury apartments (30m2) and two luxury studios (30m2). Luxury studios and apartments are equipped in the same way - a double bed and a sofa bed for two.

Right part of the building, which is elevated and higher than the central building:

This part of the building consists of basement apartments (a few steps below ground level), two standard apartments on the first floor, two luxury apartments on the second floor, and two suites on the third floor.

The large apartment (70m2) has two bedrooms. One bedroom has a double bed, while the other has two single beds. In the living room, there is a sofa bed for two, and if needed, an extra bed for a child up to 4 years old can be added. This accommodation unit overlooks the courtyard.

The two standard apartments on the first floor that this property has consist of a bedroom with a double bed and a sofa bed for two in the living room. The surface of the standard apartments is 30m2.

The two luxury apartments on the second floor consist of a separate bedroom with a double bed and a living room with a sofa bed for two. These units have a sea view and their surface area is 30m2.

Mountain Suite (25m2) has a mountain view, as the name suggests, and consists of a double bed and a sofa for one person in the same room, accommodating a maximum of three people. Sea Suite (25m2) is equipped in the same way, only with a sea view.

In its rich offer, this accommodation also has a room (16m2) without a kitchen on the second floor. It consists of a double bed and can accommodate two people. The room has a refrigerator and air conditioning, and it overlooks the mountain.

In the kitchens, it is recommended to prepare only light meals.

Only in the luxury part, there are mosquito nets on the windows. An extra bed for a person up to 15 years old can be added to one standard apartment on the first floor, but it is necessary to note that the space significantly reduces. An extra bed can also be added to the large apartment in the basement.

Towel change is done every other day, while bed linen change is done every third day. Cleaning of accommodation units is done daily.

The courtyard is truly large, ideal for children to play and run around, but also for socializing, barbecuing, and enjoyment. The barbecue is portable.

Private parking is provided for all guests.

The accommodation is very easy to reach, you need to go down to the center and turn left at the souvenir shop located on the corner. Continue straight until you see Rania Studios on the left and a sign for the accommodation of the same name.

For a family of five with small children, we received a slightly more comfortable studio (not quite a 4+1 apartment). It is beneficial for the children as there is a larger yard with a spacious lawn, two swings, and a small slide. The wifi is poor; throughout the studio, only one corner of the room has a decent signal, which is often lost. There is hot water, but only for the patient, as it takes about 5 minutes to arrive. Of the two burners on the stove, one works well while the other is unusable. We stayed in room 10, and it requires a frying pan and a ladle, as those items are missing, and the few pots available are mostly chipped. Bring your own. There is no outdoor barbecue or cooking facilities as there are no conditions for that. The beach is 150 meters away, but it is rocky; it takes about 15 minutes to walk to the sandy beach.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND this location if you have children! The room is very small compared to the picture displayed on the website, and the beds for children are abominable improvisations (a folding chair that breaks your back and a foldable bed almost on the floor). Although the room was tidy, the cleaning was done by women between 2:30 PM and 3:00 PM, when everyone wanted to rest. The attitude of the manager was VERY AGGRESSIVE when explaining the accommodation conditions after I pointed out that it was impossible to sleep on the so-called beds for children. Regarding the grill, DO NOT COUNT ON IT, it was a small grill with legs that were falling apart. The only kind person was the owner's husband, who tried to make our stay comfortable.

The accommodation is located near the beach in Skala Potamia, but the part of the beach closest to the accommodation is rocky, so it is necessary to walk 100-200 meters to the left or right to reach a beautiful sandy area. The yard is pleasant, with a few play equipment for children (two swings, two seesaws, and a slide). Our room is classified as a luxury apartment, but there were many shortcomings that marred our impression. There is extremely little space for storing belongings - just one shelf in the wardrobe for four people. The sink was broken, with holes that trap dirt, and it was never cleaned during our ten-day stay. The apartment was cleaned almost every day, but so superficially that the floor was still full of crumbs and sand even after cleaning. The double bed is exceptionally uncomfortable. The worst impression is related to the internet - it is so poor that it is almost nonexistent; it is impossible to connect to the wifi anywhere in the room, only from the terrace. The owner is kind, the location of the accommodation is great, but many improvements are needed in the accommodation itself to enhance the overall experience.

Excellent accommodation. Clean and perfect for families with children, as the kids can play in the yard. Behind the accommodation, there is a large private parking area. The rooms are regularly cleaned, and towels and bed linens are changed multiple times. The auxiliary beds are a bit uncomfortable, but you can ask them to provide a mattress topper or blankets to make them softer. The hosts are outstanding and are at your service every day from morning until evening. The internet is decent in the room, although it may be weaker and likely overloaded at certain times of the day. The location is good for evening strolls to the main street. However, regarding the beach, the nearest part is rocky and narrow, so it is necessary to walk a bit to the left to reach the sandy area of the beach. All in all, this is our first time booking accommodation through Nikana, and we are very satisfied with both Nikana and Rania. Highly recommended, you won't regret it.

The accommodation is tidy and clean, the owners are very friendly and not intrusive. The yard is suitable for children and is genuinely utilized. Perhaps the dishes in the accommodation could use some updating, as they are somewhat worn. Towels are changed regularly. All in all, I recommend it. The price-to-quality ratio is excellent.

The accommodation is located in a rather poor part of the beach, rocky, so it is best to head left towards Golden Beach, about 100-200 meters.

We stayed in a luxurious apartment and were extremely satisfied. The location is excellent, the apartment is clean, comfortable, and regularly maintained, with bed linens and towels changed several times during our stay. The hosts were exceptionally kind and helpful. Upon request, we received a good crib for our child and an extra chair for the terrace. The apartment is equipped with air conditioning, mosquito nets, a hairdryer, a clothesline with clothespins, a TV, a safe, a functional kitchen, and utensils, while parking is provided at the back of the villa, allowing immediate access to the apartment. The front yard is spacious, featuring furniture for relaxation and children's amenities. The Wi-Fi is good, with the villa having four access points, one at each corner, connecting to the nearest one, all sharing the same password. The only drawback in the apartment is the dining room bed, which could be more spacious and comfortable (a pull-out armchair); therefore, it receives 4 stars for comfort, but the hosts provided a mattress topper to enhance it. We had a view of the sea; however, since it faces east, the sun blazed until noon, but it becomes exceptionally pleasant in the afternoon and evening. In the street where the property is located, traffic passes by, so occasionally a reckless driver may zoom by and disturb your sleep.

We stayed from July 21, 2017, to August 3, 2017. A married couple with two children (ages 7 and 11). The new apartments are beautiful, comfortable, and clean, located in an excellent area, with exceptionally kind hosts. Truly, all praises for the accommodation and the wonderful hosts.
