To deposit money into a Greek account without paying a commission, read HERE.

With the MONEYGRAM service, you can easily send money to Greece, and the recipient can receive it within 24 hours of your deposit.

You can make the deposit from any facility that provides this type of money transfer (e.g. post office, exchange office, bank, etc.) in the equivalent value in dinars.

Please pay attention to whether the officials have correctly entered the owner’s information (there should be no spelling errors or name permutations, otherwise the owner will not be able to withdraw the money).

After the deposit, you will receive an eight-digit code that you need to forward to the recipient along with the sender’s name, exact amount, and country of origin (it would be best to send us a photo or screenshot of the entire receipt).

Step by step guide for depositing via MONEYGRAM service

Bring with you the amount in dinars plus the commission amount.

Write down the first and last name of the accommodation owner to whom you are sending the money. It is important to know exactly what is the first name and what is the last name, and they should be spelled correctly.

Upon arrival at the post office or exchange office, it is important to inform the official about the amount you want to send, the country you are sending to, and the first and last name of the recipient.

You will need to show a valid ID card

The money is sent electronically, and you will sign a printed form for sending. You will receive a copy of the form with the eight-digit code and all the data entered by the official.

After that, you need to inform the recipient that you have made the deposit and write down all the information they need to withdraw the money (your first and last name, exact amount, eight-digit code, and the country from which you deposited)

It is important to know that no one, except the owner with their ID card, can withdraw the money you sent.

MONEYGRAM does not have an officially published price list because the commission amount depends on the country from which the money is being sent and the country to which the money is being sent. Therefore, it is important to inquire about the commission at the counter before starting the sending process.
