Toll prices in Serbia on the way to the seaside
Updated guide for the 2026 season with prices valid from January 1st. Planning a trip to Greece starts with the first item - costs through Serbia.
Over the past years, there have been changes on the roads of Serbia in the form of new toll stations on Corridor 10, and as of the beginning of 2026, adjusted prices are in effect.
In the text, we will help you plan your trip and see a detailed price list from Belgrade, Novi Sad, Subotica, and Niš to the borders with Macedonia and Bulgaria for the year 2026. You will also find out how to save time with TAG and money with Nikana discount for roadside assistance.
Below, check the toll amounts for passenger vehicles, from your starting point to the borders with North Macedonia and Bulgaria.

How do I pay tolls in Serbia and how to get through as quickly as possible?
If you are not using a TAG device, you can pay tolls at toll ramps in Serbia in one of the following three ways:
1. Cash
- Prepare some change in advance to get through as quickly as possible.
- Payment in euros is allowed for vehicles with foreign license plates.
2. Payment cards
All toll ramps in Serbia are equipped with POS terminals for card payments.
- Which cards are accepted? You can use Visa, Mastercard, Maestro.
- No commission: Payment by card is treated like any other purchase at the point of sale, without additional costs from Putev Srbije.
3. Phone or smartwatch (Apple Pay / Google Pay)
This is the most modern payment method for those who have a digitized card in their phone or smartwatch - Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. Just hold your phone or watch against the contactless reader on the ramp..
- Note: Always have a physical card or some cash with you as a “plan B”, in case the terminal at a smaller ramp is currently having a network problem.
4. TAG device - ENP
In 2026, the most efficient way to travel trough Serbia highvay is Electronic Toll Collection (ENP or TAG). The device costs around 2,000 dinars and allows you to pass through the ramps without stopping.

Toll budget: from departure to the border
Depending on where you are traveling from and to which destination in Greece, total tolls are not a negligible item in the budget.
If we take Belgrade as the average value - the starting point from Serbia, as an example,
- for tolls through Serbia it is necessary to allocate around €18,
- for tolls through Macedonia €7 and
- for tolls to Halkidiki around €4.
- The total is around €29.
For further destinations in Greece, you need to pay twice as much, for example, to Parga €39 or Lefkada €43.
Tolls in Greece have increased in price, so, for example, from Thessaloniki to Athens you now need to pay €33.55.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) – Traveling in 2026
1. Where can I calculate the total toll costs from my home to the coast?
For precise cost planning within Serbia, use the official Roads of Serbia toll calculator (covers all locations and toll booths in Serbia). For Greece and the route through North Macedonia/Bulgaria, we recommend using TollGuru.
2. What happens if I lose my toll ticket?
At the exit toll booth, you will be charged for the longest possible route on that highway section, plus an additional processing fee (approx. 300 RSD). Pro Tip: Keep your ticket in the driver’s side compartment; never leave it on the dashboard where it can slide into the defrost vents.
3. Where can I buy a TAG (ETC) device for Serbia?
You can purchase an ETC (Electronic Toll Collection) device at over 700 post offices across Serbia, at AMSS branches, or through authorized distributors. The price of the device is 2,022 RSD.
4. Can I use one TAG device for multiple vehicles?
Within Serbia – YES, as long as the vehicles are in the same category (e.g., two passenger cars). However, for North Macedonia, Montenegro, and Croatia, the TAG is linked to a specific license plate on the portal. If you switch cars, you must update the registration details in your profile on the Toll4All portal before starting your trip.
5. In which countries can I use the Serbian TAG?
Through the Toll4All portal, you can use your Serbian TAG device in North Macedonia, Montenegro, and Croatia.
6. How do I register my TAG for North Macedonia (Open Balkan system)?
First, you must visit an authorized sales point (Post Office or AMSS) for a physical reconfiguration of the device. Only after this step can you register on the toll4all.com portal and link your payment card. Without the physical reconfiguration at a branch, the TAG will not work in North Macedonia, even if you are registered on the website. Step-by-step: Setting up your TAG for North Macedonia
7. Does the Serbian TAG work in Greece?
Unfortunately, not yet. Greek systems are currently in the process of integration, but it is not yet finalized. For now, you must pay with cash/card at Greek toll booths or order a free Greek TAG device.
8. How can I avoid traffic jams at the borders?
We recommend monitoring live border cameras and using Google Maps (to see real-time congestion). Additionally, you can use alternative crossings such as Prohor Pčinjski (for North Macedonia) or Strezimirovci (for Bulgaria). Please note that roads to alternative crossings are often in poorer condition and the drive may take longer. We advise avoiding Friday afternoons and Saturday mornings whenever possible.
