The popular German retail chain Lidl has a large number of stores in Greece. The markets are open to customers from Monday to Friday from 8 am to 9 pm, and on Saturdays from 8 am to 8 pm.

The Lidl in Neos Marmaras closed in February 2022. If you enjoy shopping at Lidl, you can still do so at the Lidl in Nikiti. Masutis is, of course, still there and better stocked, but a bit more expensive. The Greek markets, found in almost all major towns, are perfect for buying fresh fruits and vegetables.

A new Lidl has opened on Thassos, in Limenas, near the port where the ferries dock. You will find the exact location or coordinates below.

Some markets also operate on Sundays. Lidl Perea, Nea Mihaniona, and Epanomi in Thessaloniki during the season (June-September) are open from 10 am to 6 pm, and off-season from 10 am to 4 pm. Meanwhile, Lidl in Nea Kalikratia, Jerisos, Vrasna, and Nikiti in May are open on Sundays from 10 am to 4 pm, and from June to the end of September on average from 8 am to 8 pm.
