Tasos is renowned as a family island, catering to the middle category of tourists. Until recently, there was only one luxurious hotel on the island, the Aleksandra Beach in Potos, but in recent years, 5-6 more have been built.

Everything else that Tasos offers is in the form of apartment accommodation. There are even a couple of thousand accommodations offering apartments and studios, ranging from affordable to very luxurious.

The apartments in Tasos are primarily intended for families, less often for couples. Most apartments accommodate 3 or 4 people.

The entire island is easily accessible, so apartments are available in all locations, whether in small seaside villages or places a few kilometers away from the coast.

It’s important to note that it’s best to choose the location that suits you for your vacation first, and then select an apartment. It could happen that the apartment is excellent and you are very satisfied, but if you make the wrong choice of location, it will be of no use to you. Limenas, Limenaria, and Potos are the largest places for those seeking a bit more entertainment during their vacation.

Limenaria is very peaceful with a long beach, less crowded but slightly inferior compared to Potos.

Limenas is a lively place with a charming beach, but it can get crowded.
Potos is the most sought-after place, very lively but also crowded on the beach.

Pachis and Skala Rachoni and their surroundings are for those who enjoy pine trees and natural shade, but the places themselves have very little other entertainment, although the main town is just a few minutes’ drive away, allowing you to make up for the lack of amenities.

Skala Potamia and Skala Panagia are located in the bay of Golden Beach, one of the most beautiful sandy beaches on the island. Therefore, choose these places if it’s important for you to have a beach with fine sand and shallow waters right in front of your accommodation, but not if you are looking for places with extensive amenities.
