Accommodation description
Helena’s House accommodation is located in the traditional village of Sykia, in a peaceful location, and as such, it can be an excellent choice for visitors who want to spend their vacation far from the crowds in an authentic Greek village away from the coastline.
The accommodation is situated 4.4km away from Sikia Beach, and various supermarkets, cafes, and taverns can be found approximately 300m away from the property, in the village center.
It is a two-bedroom house that can accommodate up to 5 people. The living room with a kitchen features a corner sofa, while one of the bedrooms has a standard-sized double bed, and the other bedroom has a narrower double bed, suitable for one adult or two children up to 10 years old.
The kitchen is spacious and fully equipped, including a large fridge with a freezer, a stove with an oven and four burners, a microwave, a coffee maker, a toaster, a kettle, and necessary utensils. The bathroom has a shower enclosed by a glass partition.
The house is air-conditioned and has internet, TV, mosquito nets, and a hairdryer. In front of the house, there is a large veranda with a table and chairs, offering a view of the street and the mountain.
Cleaning, as well as the replacement of towels and bed linen, are done upon guests’ request, and a clean set of towels and linens is available if guests wish to replace them themselves.
The accommodation has a yard where guests have access to private parking and a barbecue.
If you wish to have a secluded vacation in a pleasantly designed interior, Helena’s House can be an excellent choice.

Our accommodation was quite satisfactory, clean, well-equipped, and spacious. The kitchen was fully equipped, and the owners provided us with enough towels, even later on. There was also a washing machine. The small room had no window and was accessed from the larger bedroom, but that did not bother us; all doors were open, and everything was fine. There is a large terrace in front of the house entrance, and behind the house, there are also tables and chairs on another small terrace. The place is quiet and peaceful; it is literally the last house in the village, right below the hill, which might be a problem for someone who is not inclined to start their car every day. However, the tranquility and peace provide a true enjoyment of sitting outside in the evening. A parking space is secured in front of the house. The owners are a special story. They are an elderly couple living above the apartment, and every morning, the gentleman prepared a surprise for us, bringing his homemade goat cheese, grapes, figs... When we left, they saw us off like parents do when their child is going on a trip, along with a bag of homemade products, jam, oregano, and juice for the kids. They stirred special emotions in me, and I felt somewhat like I was among my own relatives. They do not speak English, so we reached the conclusion in some "Tarzan" language that their daughter-in-law is from Serbia. We wholeheartedly recommend this place... the only downside is that the location is not suitable for those who are not willing to start their car. Otherwise, the village is interesting, has its own evening life, and is quite charming.

The accommodation is beautifully arranged, fully equipped, and far more attractive than in the pictures. I especially want to highlight the kindness of the property owners. This was our thirteenth vacation in Greece, and we truly encountered genuine hospitality. In the refrigerator, we found chilled water and juices for the children waiting for us. The owners continuously brought us fresh fruits, vegetables, goat cheese, and even cheese pie. My rating for the accommodation and the owners is a perfect ten.
