Hotel Description

Acropolis Hotel is a small, family run hotel dating back to 1900. Although renovated several times since then, the accommodation has retained its old-fashioned look and authentic decorations from that period. It is located in the heart of the city center, so the first supermarkets, souvenir shops and bakeries are at your fingertips.

The hotel was built in 1900 and is located in Limenas, the capital of the island of Thassos. Although repeatedly renovated since then, it has retained its authentic appearance on the outside and inside. This is the only hotel in Thassos where you will have the impression that you are staying in a museum. It is equipped with antique style furniture, and everywhere you can see details that testify to the long history of this family that runs the hotel - (old photographs and paintings, porcelain dishes, candlesticks, table cloths, lampshades, chandeliers …). It is located 300m from the center, and 700m from the city beach.

A total of 12 accommodation units are at your disposal - one four-bed apartment and 11 double rooms. On the upper ground floor there is a four-bed apartment, as well as four double rooms, three of which have a double bed and one with two joined or separate single beds. There are seven double rooms on the first floor, two of which contain two joined or separate single beds, four rooms contain a double bed and there is also one deluxe double room, which is slightly larger in size and has a larger balcony. The four-bed apartment contains two double beds arranged in two separate rooms, as well as two bathrooms. It should be noted that the rooms are smaller and vary from 12m2 to 22m2.

A baby cot can be provided upon request and within the price.

All accommodation units are air-conditioned and include a TV, Wi-Fi internet, a refrigerator, a separate bathroom with a shower and a small balcony with a view of either the courtyard or the street.

Pets are not allowed in this accommodation.

Rooms are cleaned daily and towels and bed linen are changed every two days.

The hotel has its own parking space with five spaces in the immediate vicinity. At the back of the hotel there is a medium-sized garden, fenced and partially covered, with tables and chairs. There is a phone booth in front of the hotel entrance, a butcher’s across the street and very close you will find a market, a pharmacy and a doctor.

Acropolis Hotel is located in the wider center of Limenas, at the intersection of Megalou Alexandrou and Archaiologikis Scholis streets, 30 meters before the Lido Hotel, or 180m before the intersection of Mary hotel and Philoxenia Inn. After disembarking from the ferry, if you reach Thassos by car, drive to the opposite side of the hotel (to the right upon the disembarkation), make a circle around the center and enter Megalou Alexandrou or Archaiologikis Scholis street.

If you want to feel the spirit of traditional Greece, to stay in a hotel completely different from the others, very clean, a bit aristocratic and very authentic, in the center of the city, then Acropolis is a great choice and you will surely enjoy it very much.

Booking and Cancellation Terms

Overnight environmental tax is not included in prices.
Deposit of 30% is required to confirm the reservation. Remaining balance should be payed first day upon arrival. If cancelled 21 or more days prior to arrival, paid money will be fully refunded. If cancelled at any time later, paid money is non-refundable. In the case of early departure, 50% of remaining days will be charged. *If a deposit refund is possible, the shipping costs are borne by the guest. The amount of the costs depends on the chosen shipping method and bank. The average time for a refund after cancellation is three weeks.
