City beach in Limenas is small, beautiful and sandy.

It is located 1,5km from the port (a new port where the ferries dock) so no need to worry about whether the water is clean or not, because the water is clean, and the beach too. Nearby is just an old port with fishing boats.

The beach is of medium width, sandy on the shore and in the water, with a gradual depth.

During July and August beach can be crowded, but it certainly is quite useful if you are staying nearby.

The beach is organized and you can get sunbeds and umbrellas with an ordered drink, coffee, ice cream or anything else in the bars on the beach.

Some beach bars have toys for the kids, and nearby is a small park with toys.
The city beach in Limenas, unlike the others on the island, has a lifeguard, as well as showers and cabins that can be used regardless of whether you have sat down or a beach bar.

On the west side of Limenas, there is another beach. It is Agios Ioannis beach or Vournelis beach. This beach is quite narrow and full of gravel on the shore, with stones in the water. There are parts of sand and with a natural shade. The beach is usable, but certainly not among the most beautiful on the island.
