Accommodation description

Athina House is set in Pefkari, in a quiet place and just few steps away from the beach. Potos is away only 10 minutes by foot. House is good choice for the group of friends or bigger families who need their privacy.

Athina House is located 150 meters from the beach. It’s closer to Pefkarian bay near the camp/ left side of the beach, than the central bay.

Home has two bedrooms, living room with kitchen and bathroom. Its size is 60m2. Besides tables and wardrobe, in one bedroom there is a double bed, and in another one there are two single beds. The living room is spacious enough and contains two couches (each for one person) and a large kitchen with refrigerator and a classic stove with oven. The air conditioner is in the living room. The bathroom is also spacious. Windows have with mosquito nets.

If you request, the landlady will tidy up the house once a week, bed linen and towels will be replaced every five days, but it is best to negotiate on the spot or when making a reservation, especially if you want more frequent changing of bed linen and towels.

In front of the house is a large garden, partly concrete and partly grassy, private parking and plenty of shade, greenery and flowers.

If you want peace, privacy, proximity to the sea, the smell of pine trees, this cottage is ideal for something like that. It gives the feeling that you own a cottage on the sea.

The cottage is not entirely new, but it is definitely the most wanted of accommodation in Pefkari. There is internet access.

When you enter Pefkari from the direction of Limenaria, the house is located after the hotel Thassos, as soon as you descend a slight hill, on the left side of the road.

Both Pefkarian beaches are very easily accessible of Athina, after a 2-minute walk. The first market with basic groceries is 100 meters away and is located in the camp. Very near are several good taverns and a pizzeria. You can get to Potos after a 10-minute walk and there you will find a promenade, a wide selection of restaurants and shops, amusement park, large supermarkets etc.

Ideal accommodation for those who value rest, literally isolated yet within easy reach of everything—the beach and Potosa just a five-minute walk away. Peace and quiet are invaluable. The lodging accommodates six people; the fridge is large and new, as is the electric stove, which is a rarity. Mosquito nets adorn every window. The Internet is available for your use without any hassle. The only drawback would be that the bathroom door could be replaced. I have no other complaints.

Undoubtedly, the greatest asset of this accommodation is its exceptionally favorable location. It lies just a few minutes’ walk from Pefkari Beach, while the municipal beach of Potos is about a ten-minute stroll away. Limenarija is also relatively close, reachable on foot in roughly forty minutes through a pine forest. Thanks to its position, the lodging makes an excellent base for exploring the numerous beaches around these two towns. The courtyard is spacious, and guests have access to private parking, included in the price and reserved exclusively for the guests of the lodging. Although the property sits near the main road, the house itself is set back from traffic and surrounded by greenery, offering a sense of peace and isolation from noise and bustle. In the immediate vicinity there is a large Masoutis supermarket, and along the beach promenade there are smaller shops and a bakery. During a ten-day stay, there is the possibility to replace towels every five days. As for the lodging itself, the house is spacious, but the interior clearly could use a refresh. The furnishings are rather old and worn, and in one of the rooms there are two single beds with uncomfortable springs that creak with every movement, significantly diminishing sleep quality. The bathroom is in poor condition; the sanitary fixtures are outdated, drains frequently clog, which causes an unpleasant odor to spread through the whole house after showering and washing dishes. It seems the sewage system is not ideally solved, which could pose a problem, especially during longer stays. Overall, the lodging offers good preconditions in terms of location and practicality, but given the asking price, the quality of the interior and basic utilities should be at a higher standard. I deem the property somewhat overpriced and not fully meeting expectations when considering the price–quality ratio.

Deposit of 30% is required to confirm the reservation. Remaining balance should be payed first day upon arrival. If cancelled 21 or more days prior to arrival, paid money will be fully refunded. If cancelled at any time later, paid money is non-refundable. In the case of early departure, 50% of remaining days will be charged.
