Franceska Villa is located in the centre of Potos, it has a spacious garden with a swimming pool and private parking. On the ground floor, there is a small family restaurant. All the contents are just a few minutes away (including the closest beach).
Accommodation is in the main street next to the church. The beach is 100 meters far and the main intersection in Potos is 50-70 meters away. The supermarket is 30 meters away.
Franceska offers 10 units, eight studios and two apartments situated on the first and second floor. Studios can accommodate 2-4 persons and apartments can accommodate 5.
Studios are about 20m2. Six studios are quadruple and there are one double and one triple studio. The double studio has a double bed, it is on the second floor and it has a sea-view balcony. One studio is triple, it has a double and a single bed and a kitchen on the terrace. It's located on the side and looks towards the street and the yard.
Quadruple studios all have one double and two single beds except one studio (no 8) which has a double bed, single bed and one single sofa but with a standard mattress. One studio has a kitchen on the terrace. Studios can overlook the sea, street or garden.
One quintuple apartment (No.3) has bedroom with three single beds and a living room with a kitchen and a smaller size double bed, while the other apartment (No.10) has two single beds in one room and one smaller size double bed and i single bed in the other room. Both units have very spacious terrace. There are two identical apartments, one per floor and both of them have 25m2.
All accommodation units are air-conditioned and have a kitchen, bathroom, TV, mosquito nets, internet and a terrace.
Cleaning and replacement of linen and towels are done every four days.
This accommodation offers an option for breakfast or half board with an additional charge (there are no standard prices but we check the price with the owner). This service can also be used by guests of other accommodations.
The swimming pool and swimming pool area can be used by the guests free of charge but bringing your own food and drinks from the room or from the supermarket is forbidden.
Private parking is a great advantage and rarity for villas located in the center of Potos.
Arriving from the direction of Limenaria, continue straight ahead at the central intersection and you will see the house on the left side of the street. It's surrounded by greenery.
Francesca Villa is a good choice for those who want to be in the centre of Potos, a few steps from the beach, promenades, shops, souvenir shops and taverns.

Guest reviews
A phenomenal villa, everything is at an exceptional level. It has all that is needed for a perfect holiday. The downsides are its proximity to the main road and the air conditioning units, which can be quite noisy.
Great location, cleanliness at an exceptional level.
Cons
The villa is right next to the main road (those who are light sleepers may have trouble sleeping).
An excellent accommodation right in the heart of the action, friendly hosts who are always smiling, a beautiful courtyard with a pool, rooms that are clean and tidy, towels are changed daily.
Great location, pool, clean and tidy, towels changed every day, pool.
Cons
None.
I highly recommend this accommodation. Everything is clean and tidy, conveniently located near the beach and the city center. The apartment is cleaned daily, and towels are replaced regularly. The pool is also maintained every day. Everyone is very courteous. The only drawback is the lack of kitchenware in the apartment. Everything else is satisfactory.
Proximity to the beach and the city center.
Cons
Insufficient kitchenware in the apartment, only one pot.
The accommodation is situated in a great location, it is clean, and the hosts are friendly.
Everything mentioned truly deserves a maximum of 5 stars.
Location
Cons
1. It is necessary to secure an area around the sink and stove (for drying dishes and preparing food - to avoid leaving them on the hot plate). 2. Dust from the parking lot tarnishes the pool... grapes, at least a piece of concrete should be placed along the fence.
The accommodation is quite satisfactory, offering a small view of the sea and being close to all the happenings in Potos. The owners are always smiling.
Parking and a pool in the courtyard, proximity to the main street and the sea, along with always cheerful and positive owners.
Cons
Room number 10 has three minor flaws: the small safe is not built-in and can be easily taken, there is no key for the bathroom, and the light switch is located under the pillow (I have accidentally turned on the light at least 20 times).
A lovely, family-friendly atmosphere with exceptionally courteous staff. We would definitely return.
The apartment comes highly recommended.
Proximity to the beach, pool, towels are frequently changed.
Cons
Lack of adequate cookware.
We are extremely satisfied with the accommodation. The hygiene is at a commendable level, with daily changes of bed linen and regular cleaning of the apartment. The landlady is very pleasant and open to cooperation. We stayed in apartment number 10. The description of the accommodation absolutely matches the condition we found. The beds are comfortable, the air conditioning cools nicely, and the screens on the windows ensured there were no mosquitoes. The kitchen was equipped with plates, forks, spoons, a frying pan, a pot, mugs, glasses, a cezve, and a kettle, providing all the essentials. One wardrobe for storing our belongings was not sufficient for the four of us, but that was not a problem. We did not have a tray for placing the dishes, but that was not an issue as we washed and returned them immediately. The water in the bathroom was always warm, and the pressure was excellent. There is ample parking and a pool in the yard that can be used with the purchase of drinks or food.
All mentioned in the review.
Cons
There are no drawbacks that we would particularly highlight.
We are extremely satisfied with the accommodation. The cleanliness is excellent, with the apartment being cleaned every day or every other day, and the bed linens are changed approximately every three days. Whatever we needed (advice, suggestions...) was provided, and it was exactly as they said. If we decide to vacation in Potos again, we will certainly inquire about available accommodation at Villa Franceska.
Cleanliness, allowed pets, baby crib, pool.
Cons
The kitchen lacks a cutting board, a smaller pot, a ladle, and there is no awning.
Overall, the location is excellent, and the property is very functional. The hosts are friendly.
Close to the beach, cleaned every day, and towels are changed; the pool and garden are well-maintained.
Cons
Drink prices in the accommodation are high (beer 5€), and there is a ban on bringing fruit and personal drinks to the pool.
I wholeheartedly recommend this accommodation. It is clean, conveniently located near the beach, and offers a breathtaking view from the terrace. The hosts are exceptionally kind, welcoming the children with a gift and bidding them farewell with another. The parking is ample. Tasos has enchanted us; it is, in a word, a paradise island! I highly recommend the agency Nikana, and we will certainly travel with them again next year!
Location, parking, friendly staff
Cons
We recently returned from our vacation in Potos. We chose Villa Francesca primarily for its location and the courtyard with a pool. It turned out that while the location is satisfactory, we are unable to use the courtyard with the pool. We are not allowed to swim or sit at the tables in the courtyard without making a purchase. It is necessary to order drinks or food, even though the courtyard is located on the other side of the house, not in front where the restaurant is. For years, we have vacationed in Greece and have always been accustomed to being able to relax in the courtyard without any obligations. Everything else was pleasant and correct. Potos is excellently positioned for visiting beaches. Thassos amazed us; there is truly so much to see. I highly recommend exploring the entire coastline.
A quieter location of the house, yet close to the center and promenade. Easily accessible by car to visit other beautiful beaches.
Cons
Inability to use the courtyard behind the house without making a purchase. The kitchen is too small, and there is a lack of cutlery and dishes.
The accommodation is situated in an excellent location, the room is spacious, and the terrace is even larger. The owners are exceptionally kind, and the younger owner is particularly attentive, always cheerful, welcoming our son with a lollipop. The rooms are cleaned daily, and the linens are changed every day. On one occasion, the cleaning lady even washed the dishes while we were out of the room. We are thoroughly impressed. The yard is also lovely, and the pool is satisfactory.
Excellent location, spacious terrace, high cleanliness
Cons
An exceptionally clean and beautiful courtyard, the pool is perfect. Highly recommended.
A pristine and beautifully appointed accommodation in an ideal location in Potos, featuring secured gated parking. The pool is situated in a stunning courtyard, impeccably clean. The house includes a restaurant with reasonable prices and excellent food. The hosts are extremely kind and accommodating.
Pool, parking, location
Cons
The location is outstanding, as is the service provided by the staff. The spacious parking area is excellent, and the courtyard and pool are beautiful.
Excellent location, quality service, beautifully landscaped courtyard.
Cons
Limited space between the beds, lack of storage for clean dishes.
We were four of us staying in a five-bed apartment. Fortunately, we used the fifth bed for storing clothes, as the wardrobe was too small and lacked compartments. The kitchen was also quite tiny (a sink with a single opening, and the dishes dried by being propped up right next to the stove. When it came time to chop something while preparing food, we had to use the plastic chairs from the terrace). The bathroom had no hooks for towels, not even a toilet paper holder. On the other hand, the staff was courteous, the landlord's son spoke excellent English and always had the right information when we asked him. The pool was exceptionally clean, with an underwater vacuum cleaner being used every evening to keep it spotless. The parking was huge and functional.
Courteous staff, ample parking, exceptionally clean and regularly maintained pool. The rooms were also regularly cleaned while we spent our mornings at the beach.
Cons
Small wardrobes, the kitchen was completely tiny and non-functional, and the bathroom lacked towel and toilet paper holders.
The accommodation was quite decent, located in a good area, with parking and a pool in a lovely courtyard. The hosts were very pleasant and kind people. They were always ready to assist us with any questions or requests we had. Everything was clean and well-maintained, and both the children and we enjoyed our stay. The only thing I think should be added is some dishware and utensils; it’s a small expense but would greatly facilitate everyone’s normal functioning. Jota even gave us little souvenirs from Thassos, a lovely gesture. We highly recommend their accommodation. A big hello to Janis, who speaks excellent English and was of great help.
The recommendation for the property aligns well with its price; the staff is extremely courteous, the kitchen is excellent, and the location in Thassos, just like in previous years, is exceptional. I recommend the agency Nikana, from which we received an accurate representation of the accommodation unit. The agency's staff is very professional.
Excellent location, secured parking.
Cons
We could not find them.
I visited France with my family; there were four of us, from August 20th to 31st, and the experience was quite pleasant. There were a few minor shortcomings that could have been easily improved with a small investment. For instance, the kitchen had only one burner, and there was no hot water available. Additionally, the seals in the bathroom were broken. A bigger issue was the cleaner. She cleaned for the first three days, changed the linens on the third day, but thereafter did not enter the room. A pipe in the bathroom broke, causing water to leak, but we informed Jota, who called a handyman, and he resolved the issue. Jota cooks excellently; we had pizza that was fantastic. The landlord and Jota are interesting characters; they are very friendly, kind, and cheerful. They also have a lovely dog named Bubi. Wishing all the best for Jota, the landlord, and their dog. PS: We stayed in room number 9, which is on the upper floor, and the bathrooms have not been renovated. The grill and the tables around it are not as shown in the picture; they have deteriorated.
Close to the beach and the center. Kind landlady. The food is excellent, although we only had pizza; the yard is pleasant, and the ice cream is wonderful, providing relaxation.
Cons
The cleaner, the part of the yard behind the house, lack of dishes, no hot water in the kitchen, weak water pressure, only one burner.
We vacationed as a family at Villa Frančeska from August 18 to 28, 2014. My husband and I, along with our older son who is 24 years old and our younger son who is 10, stayed in a five-bed apartment number 3. This year, we visited Tasos for the first time and were enchanted by the place, Potos, and the villa itself. We chose the villa based on the opinions of other guests, photographs, and descriptions. Everything was exactly as we had anticipated. Regarding the villa, our priorities were: a beautiful terrace, separate rooms, and parking, and we got all of that. The apartment was spacious and clean (the maid comes every third day, changes the linens and towels, and cleans thoroughly). We only turned on the air conditioning twice; although it was very warm, it wasn't necessary. The Wi-Fi works everywhere and is quite good. As for the description of the apartment's and kitchen's equipment - everything is as people have written - it is poorly equipped and lacks storage space; our things were in suitcases, etc. We spent very little time in the apartment and didn't cook much, but for those planning to cook, it’s better to bring some utensils or ask the kind landlady Jota, and she will provide everything. We have never experienced such hospitality and kindness in our lives. The villa is run by an elderly couple, but their daughter Jota and her husband Dimitris are the main hosts. They are always cheerful and friendly, always in good spirits. On the ground floor of the villa is a lovely restaurant with pleasant music, where you can enjoy delicious dishes personally prepared by Jota. There are always fresh Greek savory and sweet pies, and her homemade feta cheese made from goat's milk is the best on Tasos. Jota's parents, the elderly hosts, are over eighty years old and hail from a village - Teologos (which you must visit - we did, the lamb and kid are excellent at the taverna Stelios) and they produce their own olive oil there - it is wonderful, pure 100% extra virgin, I bought 10 liters. You can also buy honey and wine from Jota. She gifted me cheese when we were leaving, such a sweetheart. Jota laughs loudly just like I do, HaHa - Jota is my sister. She brews real homemade coffee and fantastic cocktails. She introduced us to an older couple from Belgium who have been coming here for vacation for over thirty years and asked them to take us to Greek music, as we wanted to see how the Greeks celebrate, not to go to those silly so-called Greek nights organized by agencies. The experience was unforgettable, with live music, the smashing of plates, and the tossing of napkins, so if you want such entertainment, inquire where that restaurant on San Antonio beach is and when they have live music, and definitely go, because that is the only authentic Greek evening, not a show for tourists. If we go back to Tasos, we will surely return to Villa Frančeska. I saw other villas, and I think this one is the best positioned, both for parking and because it is next to the main road, so you can quickly escape from the crowd and head to a beach. There is a beautiful view of the sea from the terrace and a lovely palm tree in front of the villa. Right across the street is a supermarket, and everything else is within reach. The beach is just a minute's walk away, and you can use the pool of the Ana Star hotel across the street - as guests of Nikana, of course, with a drink - coffee costs 2.5 euros. Otherwise, the beach in Potos is nothing special, so there's no need to look for accommodation right by the beach, as there are so many beautiful beaches to visit that it's a shame to swim in Potos. Our favorite nearby beach is Roso gramos, and the best time and sunset are at the atspas beach and lunch in the village above the beach - Skala Meries. An excellent fish restaurant with fresh fish - Armeno, where you get a discount with the Nikana card. All in all, a wonderful family vacation, full of activities and impressions, and there is little space here to describe how beautiful Tasos is, and you will have to see for yourself, because that scent of nature and the beauty and taste of food, when all the senses awaken, must be experienced. Thank you, Nikana, we will come again! Jota is my friend, see you again!
Friendly hosts. Clean, good restaurant, everything is nearby, no hills, good location, huge terrace, parking, etc.
Cons
Poorly equipped kitchen, not enough storage space for clothes.
This year we stayed at Jota's from August 27th to September 5th. Had we not had the fortune to share accommodation in the villa with "our compatriots" for the first three days, whom their mother must have loved, from which mountain did they descend to embarrass us in the neighborhood (I assume that their first encounter with the concept of a toilet bowl and a small basin must have astonished, shocked, and bewildered them, as they failed to grasp the secrets of the "three shells"). They then departed for Serbia, the land of endless possibilities, leaving the aforementioned inventory for the landlady to clean out and empty, etc. And we, the blind ones from the same linguistic area, were left to blush and apologize for their culture for the rest of the vacation. At Jota's, it remains standardly comfortable, pleasant, and clean. The electricity was troublesome due to the arrogant behavior of the aforementioned populace (you can't run the air conditioning and stove simultaneously in ten rooms without Nikola Tesla getting involved, and our people like to have the air conditioning on even when they're at the beach, but the terrace doors must be open for ventilation... six air conditioners broke down in their rooms when they left). If I had been with Bulgarians or Russians, I would have enjoyed myself. These folks at least sleep when they get drunk. Our people rearrange the furniture in the room until 3 in the morning. I was quite embarrassed. She renovated the bathrooms, the internet is still weak (due to the marble and concrete, I believe there is no remedy), there is a problem with storing things, as noted in the comments below, and I hope Dimitris will somehow resolve this by next year. You should enhance the pictures of each studio individually so that people can more easily decide what suits them (my suggestion).
Extremely, extremely kind and good people, close to the beach, parking space, good location in relation to the center of Potos...
Cons
Guests from Serbia.
I stayed with my husband and two children from August 23 to September 2, 2013. We were extremely satisfied with the accommodation, especially the kindness with which we were welcomed. Irina and Jota are wonderful and made our stay unforgettable. The room is excellent (renovated bathroom) and very spacious. It is very close to the beach and the center of Potos. All in all, excellent!
Proximity to the beach, excellent food they prepare.
Cons
The only downside is that 10 days felt too short, so next year we plan to stay for 15!
I stayed from August 20 to August 30, 2013, with my wife and two children, one aged 4 and the other 1. Regarding the accommodation, I was in apartment no. 2. The hygiene in the apartment was excellent; everything was clean, towels and bed linens were changed every 3 days, which is quite acceptable and commendable. The bathroom was also in excellent condition. The terrace is large and spacious. The location of the villa is outstanding, the parking is excellent and ample, which is very important for those arriving by car. Now, a few remarks: the storage closet is small, and a major issue is that the owners, for a few dozen euros, did not invest in making shelves out of particle board in that same closet for us to store our belongings. The kitchen could be a bit larger and more aesthetically pleasing, and there were often issues with the water supply in the kitchen. Otherwise, the location of the kitchen in this apartment is a great solution, as it is separated from the bedroom, which has many advantages. One more small complaint is that the terraces are separated by a small fence of 70 cm. Thus, a neighbor can easily cross over and enter the kitchen, and when sitting on the terrace, they can easily observe the neighboring apartment. All in all, it was a pleasant stay, and I commend the woman who works in the villa, Irina. She is wonderful and very cooperative.
Villa location, cleanliness of the apartment, ample parking, courtesy of the staff member Irina.
Cons
Small and poorly designed kitchen, closet without partitions.
I stayed with my family, my wife and two children, from August 20th to August 30th, 2013. The location was good, but the noise from the municipal workers early in the morning was unpleasant. The landlady was unfriendly, while Iris was fine. We constantly faced issues with the electricity.
location, cleanliness, restaurant
Cons
internet, water pressure, electricity
I vacationed with my husband and our ten-year-old child. It can all be summed up very briefly: if you are heading to Potos and wish to feel comfortable, like at home, then choose Villa Franceska and you won’t regret it!
The advantages are numerous: location, 24-hour service, friendliness, smiles on everyone’s faces, very clean and tidy, ample parking, a very pleasant interior and exterior of the house, plenty of pets, positive vibes all around!
Cons
The downside is that there are no downsides! Excellent!
I stayed at Villa Francesca from July 29 to August 8, 2013, with my husband and son. The staff at the villa is exceptionally kind and hospitable. The location is excellent for those who wish to be in the center. The beach is very close by. Overall, we are quite satisfied. :)
Close to the beach, close to the center, beautiful terrace of the villa surrounded by greenery.
Cons
The kitchen and dining table were on the terrace, and the room is small for three people; perhaps other rooms are different, but this one was like that.
A few days ago, I returned from Potos, filled with beautiful impressions. I stayed in this villa with my boyfriend, and I can only express my praise for the villa owners and for Nikana. We had a room with a sea view, full board, and the feeling of being at home. Nikana described the accommodation perfectly; everything was just as it was presented on the website. I may be modest, but the accommodation exceeded my expectations. As far as my boyfriend and I are concerned - for that price, it’s a solid 10! :)
- The option to pay for meals at the villa's restaurant (which is a much cheaper alternative than buying our own food, and they prepare it excellently with generous portions) - Completely free behavior in the villa (the owner is a fantastic woman, completely modern and I didn't hear)
Cons
The only complaint I have is the limited breakfast selection - cheese pie, apple pie with cinnamon, or jam and butter. Ten days of just that. :)
I stayed with my wife and two children from July 1 to July 16. We were accommodated in room number 1, and the terrace was spacious, fulfilling our expectations. The room was decent, and the hygiene was at a high level, with linen and towel changes every three days. They could add another option for breakfast, as having only savory pie, sweet pie, and a classic breakfast becomes a bit monotonous. Everything else was fine; the hostess was very kind, and her friend Irene speaks English, always polite and ready to help. I recommend Villa Franceska!
Close to the beach, which is great if you enjoy the beach in Potos, although it wasn't quite to our liking; it's clean, and everything is nearby.
Cons
I don't have any major complaints, perhaps a better internet connection, as theirs is quite slow.
From July 21, 2012, to August 3, 2012, my wife, daughter, and I stayed at Villa Franceska in Potos with our godparents, who have two children. Villa Franceska is situated in the heart of Potos and offers decent accommodation for the price. It is close to the beautiful San Antonio beach, making it an excellent starting point for exploring other beaches on the island. The hosts are kind and very pleasant, and we would like to take this opportunity to greet Mrs. Jota, who prepares outstanding pastries.
Central location, close to the beach, affordable pricing
Cons
Minor complaint regarding the cleanliness maintenance in the rooms during our 12-day stay.
Guests Franceska stayed from August 1st to 15th as a family of four. The landlady was exceptionally kind, and the cleanliness was very satisfactory, with bed linen changed every five days. Considering that we spent very little time in the apartment, we cannot provide more detailed information.
The property is located near the center, the beach, and everything is within "easy reach."
Cons
The kitchen is poorly equipped (which would be a problem for families wanting to prepare food and eat in the apartment), and there was no replacement of towels.
We stayed at Panagjota from August 20 to 30, 2012. My wife, my ten-year-old daughter, and our seven-month-old baby were with me. For the first three days, we were in room number 7 (the middle terrace on the second floor facing the sea). We requested a crib for the baby, and when it was brought into the space, it became quite cramped. The terrace and view from room number 7 are commendable, offering a beautiful view of the sea and the palm tree in front. A minor issue was the street noise starting from 7:00 onwards. I did not notice any noise within the villa itself (based on the comments I read below). Upon mentioning the noise and lack of space, Jota offered us a larger room on the first floor (room number 4, with plenty of pictures of that room in the description - a poster of the cottage on the wall, a long terrace with a view of the distant sea). There were four beds plus a crib in a space of over 30 m2, which was very spacious. Jota cooks like a champion (thank you, Jota, for the ohtopodi) for 5 euros per person, fulfilling wishes if anyone has heard of such a thing... Extremely friendly people, willing to serve to the maximum. Whoever wrote that Jota knows English has not been to her villa, but somewhere else. However, we communicated using gestures and animated films (for lunch, her best friend was SpongeBob - she meant squid), and when Irina and Lena (Jota's daughter) left, it was very fun and charming, and I enjoyed it. I heard that it is lively, so in my opinion, it is not true that it is responsible for the noise. They cleaned the hallway literally every day, and in 10 days, they changed my sheets and towels three times. In the kitchen, I did not have a frying pan, pressure cooker, or that Thai pan (I can't remember what it's called), but I don't have those at home either, so the kitchen with basic items (5 plates, 3 coffee cups, a kettle, 4 glasses, cutlery all four times, ALO LADLE - I came for vacation, not a cooking course, frying pan, pot, salt shaker, I don't know anymore...) did not affect my vacation like it did for some in the comments. The furniture is okay, mostly made of wood (not particle board), with various little tables with drawers - very convenient for everything we brought when we moved to Tasos. There is an unlimited supply of water, constantly, both cold and HOT. Not to forget: SERBS, the water in Tasos is drinkable, do not carry packs of water even though they are free (a pack of 1/6 is 1.5 euros). The air conditioning works flawlessly, although during the day, there wasn't much need for it, as the villa is mostly in the shade all day. The church is 60m away, and the bell rings at some scheduled times (8:36, 10:27) melodies (or someone is trying to make a joke). Nothing burdensome, I must not forget. I traveled around Tasos and was very lucky to visit Potos for the first time (in my opinion), Potos is in the middle of everything, for visiting all possible beaches, except for the marble one and that one mmmm that charges 3 euros for entry. If I go to Tasos again, Panagjota will cook for me, I am sure of that. And her husband, Dimitris, is a ninja, but he speaks English or some other language, like I speak Swahili, but it was nice. I recommend Villa Frančeska for all those who go on vacation relaxed, without thinking that for the money they pay for accommodation, they are buying space. The space is okay, the food is excellent, and you just ask or request, and they will serve you.
Panagjota Hatzegeorgiu, Tumoro, Tumoro, no
Cons
I would mention the garbage collectors at 7:00, but they standardly pass through all of Tasos, so... no flies, and I am used to flies.
The apartment, a double room, is exactly the one from Ana's pictures - located on the first floor with a view of the street and the sea. Period: 06.08.2012 - 16.08.2012. My daughter (3.5) and I stayed here. The bedroom is small, but the terrace is spacious. The kitchenette is separated by a wall and is located on the terrace. There is little cookware available (if you plan to cook, be sure to bring a smaller pot and a kitchen knife...). Otherwise, the apartment was clean and tidy, with bed linens and towels changed after 5 days. I believe they would clean the room and bathroom if requested. I did not, so I occasionally cleaned myself. The landlady is just as Ana described, cheerful, relaxed, all good! Sometimes, at night, she was the loudest among the café guests, but it didn't bother us much. Irina, the girl who works at the villa, speaks English well, is very helpful, and just as cheerful as the landlady. Bubi, I think that's the dog's name, is a bit loud for my taste, especially around 1-2 AM. We didn't close the terrace doors, just the blinds, and I didn't turn on the air conditioning. Probably, nothing would have been heard had it been the opposite. Yes, it is noisy, but not excessively so. My daughter had no trouble sleeping. The breakfast included in the price is fine, with pita and a drink (yogurt or instant coffee) or a classic (as they call it) - salami, cheese, jam, and margarine with a drink. Lunch can also be ordered for just 5E. What amazed me was the sea... the scents of the clean sea... the air... the beauty of Tasos and the kindness of the landlady and Ana. The villa description mentions a distance of 100m from the sea, but I think it is much closer - Villa Amversa is right across, and there is also a passage to the beach, specifically to the quieter part of the city beach; we did not experience any crowding at the beach. Potos is a sweet little town, everything is really close by. A lovely vacation.
As stated in the title
Cons
A bit noisy
Our group of eight (two families) stayed from August 6th to August 16th, 2012, and we were extremely satisfied. I noticed from the comments of other guests that opinions are divided regarding the furniture, kitchen, and hygiene... We stayed in studios 6 and 8 on the second floor, where everything was perfectly fine. Comfortable beds, functional appliances, and enough dishes and towels. Cleaning is done every five days, during which the bed linens are also changed. We did not opt for breakfast, but we dined there a few times and I can say the food is exceptional. I highly recommend the moussaka and Greek salad with the best feta on the island!
Definitely, the owner and her friend who works there are always at your service, no matter what the issue is (Jota and Irena). Their English is quite decent.
Cons
Mosquitoes. The rooms do not have screens!
We stayed with our family in Frančeski from July 23, 2012, to August 3, 2012. We were warmly welcomed by the owner Jota and the hostess Irena. Throughout our stay, Irena was readily available, solving problems, providing information, and spending time with us. I would like to mention that we enjoyed several delicious lunches in Frančeski at reasonable prices. A portion for one person costs 5 euros. Just as we were welcomed, we were also sent off with an invitation to return next year. I recommend Frančeski to those seeking modest accommodation, and if we decide to visit Thassos again, we will seek accommodation in Frančeski.
Frančeski has its own parking, which is a nice advantage considering the traffic congestion.
Cons
Insufficient wardrobe space; our clothes were kept in suitcases. The shower lacks a curtain (cubicle). Poor internet connection.
At the end of July, I vacationed with my wife. The franchise owners are exceptionally kind, speak English, and are always there to assist you, providing all the necessary information and advice to make your stay as pleasant as possible. The location is outstanding; we had a room with a balcony and a magnificent view of the sea, which was a true delight. The only downside was the old mattress we slept on, where the springs were quite noticeable.
Outstanding location, parking, English-speaking staff, kindness, breakfast, and air conditioning included in the price.
Cons
The mattress we slept on was old and uncomfortable, with noticeable springs.
In early August 2012, I spent time with my wife and daughter. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and they accommodated us in every way. The rooms were tidy and clean. The linens and towels were changed every five days. The main beds were excellent, but the mattress on the extra bed needs replacement. There was always hot water for showering. Perhaps an additional wardrobe in the room would be beneficial, as well as hooks, especially in the bathroom. The kitchenware was sufficient for the number of guests, though occasionally an extra plate or salad bowl would be useful, so it should be replenished. Improved seating on the terrace would enhance the overall impression.
Decent accommodation, proximity to the beach and town center, parking.
Cons
Kitchen and terrace equipment, extra bed.
From July 21 to August 2, 2012, I stayed with my family in a four-person studio. A slight disappointment was that the beach, which is truly about fifty meters away, is filled with sea urchins in a band of around fifteen meters near the shore. However, since there are many beautiful beaches on Thassos, we spent each day at a different one.
Proximity to the center of Potos, equidistant from both the eastern and western shores of the island, as well as from the sites worth visiting.
Cons
Beach with sea urchins.
I stayed here from July 1st to 11th, 2012. The greenery in front of the villa is, in my opinion, the most beautiful in Potos. The rooms are clean, and the bed linens and towels are changed every 3-4 days. The terraces are spacious and covered with dense grapevines. Now, for the best part - the owner! I haven't seen such positive energy in a person for a long time. In the evenings, it is completely peaceful, without noise and music, yet you are very close to the happenings (2 minutes on foot :)). I will never change my accommodation in Thassos after staying at Franceska's villa.
- The location is, in my opinion, the best in Potos - huge private parking, always available - large shaded terraces - restaurant in the villa, very cheap and good - clean rooms
Cons
For those who do not seek any luxury, the accommodation is flawless.
My girlfriend and I stayed at Villa Frančeska from July 1st to 11th. The villa looks exactly like in the pictures, with spacious terraces shaded by nature. Everything is impeccably clean and functional, and the hostess is always cheerful, full of spirit, and ready to assist. We would especially like to highlight Ajrin, with whom we formed a special bond, as well as the "security" provided by the poodle Bubu. We also ordered lunch from the villa's restaurant, and I cannot decide whether it was tastier or more plentiful. The beach is literally 100 meters from the villa, and the center is just far enough away that you don't hear any noise. All in all, we are both extremely satisfied, and we have not exaggerated in this description. Highly recommended!
Friendliness, proximity to the beach, closeness to the center, natural shade, excellent food. The staff makes an effort to ensure you feel like part of their family and are very accommodating.
Cons
Perhaps the furniture could use a little updating. There is a church next to the villa, and its bell might wake those who sleep in, but it wasn't a problem for us.
I vacationed with my wife and our two-year-old child in a decent apartment that offered a delightful breakfast. We particularly enjoyed the kitchen on the terrace. For that price (35 euros), one could find much better accommodation on-site. The villa was excessively noisy and chaotic both during the day and in the evening.
Good location, parking, breakfast, friendly staff
Cons
Constant noise in the villa
We spent a family vacation in France from the end of June to July 7th - four adults. We were accommodated in the attic of a villa in a solidly sized four-person apartment, boasting a lovely view of the sea and the church. The terrace is spacious and private, furnished with a table, chairs, and a clothes dryer. It is slightly warmer in the attic, so although we could have, we chose not to change rooms. Everything is exceptionally well maintained and, for that price, more than expected. Towels and cleaning are regular, and for any little thing, it is possible to reach out to the owner and her team (Irina, who is very pleasant and speaks English well). The villa has its own large parking lot and a barbecue that can be used. A few times we were invited to prepare food together. It truly embodies a genuine, relaxed Greek atmosphere, always warmed by Giota's infectious laughter. Breakfast was included in the package, which could perhaps be more varied - one could choose between a classic hotel breakfast and beautiful sweet and savory pies. With breakfast, you always receive coffee, juice, and yogurt. All in all, Franceska is a blend of good service and reasonable prices, and the pleasant atmosphere and mood in the villa are just part of the reasons why we will most likely return and recommend the villa.
Excellent location, parking, restaurant, very cheerful and cool hostess Giota, breakfast option, Booboo...
Cons
Perhaps the only downside is the lack of screens on the windows due to mosquitoes and wind...
