Golden beach is about 1,5km long, and according to many people, it is the most beautiful sandy beach on the island. It connects the places of Skala Potamia and Skala Panagia, and is located below the famous village of Panagia, which you can see from the beach.
It is known for its fine sand on the shore and in the water. Because of the long shallows it’s ideal for children. This is an organized beach and sunbeds can be used with an ordered drink, and you can also take your own equipment and set it up wherever you want.
On the beach there are showers and changing cabins. and you can use the toilets in the bars.
Excellent restaurants, taverns and bars are lined up along the entire beach, so the choice is really big. The beach occasionally has waves that are not big, but they are harmless since they are in the shallows, and the wind often blows.
The disadvantage of this beach is that there is no natural shade, but there is a large selection of bars where you can sit or bring your own umbrella.
As the beach is long, in a few places there is a water park and a place where you can rent paddle boats, kayaks, sub boards, so you can have fun.

If you have small children who like to play in the sand or in the shallow water, then Golden beach is a great choice. The depth for swimming begins at about 50 meters from the shore.
