Our description

Golden Sand is a 2-star hotel located in the center of Skala Panagia, near the famous Golden beach. The beach in front of the hotel is ideal for children, with fine sand and long shallows. The hotel also has a reception desk, a nicely decorated lounge, as well as a cafe bar with an indoor and outdoor seating area in the hinterland of the beach. There are also deck chairs and beach umbrellas, free with drinks from the hotel cafe.

This hotel offers 17 superior rooms (19m2) for two to three people as well as two suite units - junior (28m2) and deluxe (38m2).

Superior rooms are primarily intended for two people, in which there is one double bed or two connected single beds. By adding another standard single bed, another person can accomodate in them. Two rooms located on the ground floor (with a double bed or two single), one is on the second floor, while all other rooms of this type are arranged on the first floor. These accommodation units have sea or mountain view.

Classic double rooms have two connected single beds and are located on the ground floor (although there are 3-4 steps you climb to get to the rooms). They have a parking view this type of unit does not have a sea view.

The Junior Suites are located on the second floor and consist of one double bed and a single sofa bed, located within the same room. Both suites have a fantastic and direct sea view, with two sun loungers on the spacious terrace.

Deluxe Suites are located on the ground floor and have one double bed and a double sofa bed located within the same room. This unit also has its own private courtyard, with seating and sea views. There is a jardiniere between this courtyard and the courtyard suite next door. This unit has a jacuzzi and a shower in the bathroom.

All accommodation units have a safe, air conditioning and TV, bathroom, wardrobe, refrigerator, electric kettle and balcony. Breakfast is a la carte.

Small pets are welcome but it is forbidden to leave them alone in the accommodation unit.
Rooms are cleaned daily, towels are changed every two days, and bed linen is changed every three days.

In front of the main entrance there is a parking lot. During the season sometimes there are not enough spaces for all the guests of the hotel.

There are a lot of tourist facilities near the hotel (markets, restaurants, pastry shops ...), and the bus stop is located across the hotel.

Golden Sand is a beautiful hotel in a great location, with secured parking, so if you want accommodation one step away from the beach and all the facilities in the place, this hotel can be a great choice.

Hotel Golden Sand is just a breath away from the beach and provides you with all you need for having the time of your life on Thassos. It consists of 19 full-equipped, spacious rooms. Apart from the stunning view, you will have the chance to go on short trips with a small boat around the island. Golden Beach is 11km away from the port of Thassos, Limenas, and is also famous for its beautiful, clean beaches. It is located at the eastern side of Thassos, between Panagia and Skala Potamias. There are many cafeterias and taverns and for those who love sports , they are given the opportunity to try water-sports. In addition, there are daily boat cruises around the island organized.

The hotel consists of 19 rooms, for two, three or five people. We clean your room on a daily basis. The hotel also offers parking space and yard for kids to play in. On the basement of the Hotel, right in front of the beach we have a cafeteria with free WiFi open all day, for the convenience of our guests. There you can enjoy a coffee, snacks or drinks with great view of the Aegean Sea and beautiful sunrise. Αnd if you are looking for delicious food with quality ingredients, you don't have to worry. Next to our hotel is Fedra Restaurant Cafe Bar, ideal for the lovers of Mediterranean cuisine. The beach in front of our cafe is full of sunbeds and umbrellas and there is also a net for playing volleyball. All the rooms are full-equipped with: Fridge, Air condition, Television, Telephone, Bathroom with shower, Balcony Sea/mountain view.

Golden Beach or otherwise Skala Panagias is 20 minutes away from the port of Thassos – Limenas. It is the ideal holiday destination, as it combines mountain and sea and is touristic developed; provides you all the things you need to have the time of your life with the people you love. It's a great location, with exquisite touristic development, so the visitor will find everything he needs close by. Only five minutes away from Golden Beach is located the village Panagia, a small village which once was the principal town of Thassos. It took its name from the church called Panagia, which is The Virgin Mairy. The church contains artifacts dating back to the times of the Holy Crusades and many holy relics. The present day church was built in 1882. The villagers have kept the traditional Greek style of housing and customs. A walk through the narrow streets will take you back through the history of the island. Daily excursions also visit Pefkari, Psili Ammos and Kinira with their wooden landscape, Aliki which has natural pools among the pine trees, Astrida here you can find sheltered bay to enjoy swimming and sunbathing with its clear blue sky and Theologos which has traditional Macedonian architecture. Limenas is the capital City of Thassos, 12km away from Golden Beach, where is also the port of the island. There are many wonderful beaches along its coast, but also out of the town. Just right behind the old port, there is a sandy and shallow beach, prized with a Blue Flag, with beach bars, cafeterias and taverns. Thassos town is also the commercial center of the island. Enjoy your time looking for bargains, while walking along the pedestrianized streets which are full of small souvenir shops and snack bars.
