Many consider the only flaw of Sithonia to be the large crowds on the beaches. The solution to that is to go on vacation off-season, if you can. Another solution is to visit less popular beaches. While they may not be as beautiful as the most popular ones, some are not sandy, but you can still enjoy peace, relax, and rest there even during the season. We are not fans of crowded beaches either, so here are the beaches in Sithonia that we visit during the season:

  1. Kriaritsi Beach - located near Sarti. Part of the beach is organized\, while there is also plenty of space for your own equipment.
  2. Tristinika - near Toroni. A large\, uncrowded sandy beach. Mostly unorganized.
  3. Sikia - a large city beach in Sikia. Sandy\, clean\, with gradual depth and without umbrellas and sunbeds.
  4. Castri - near Nikiti. It has pebbles in the water\, clear sea\, narrower\, but without crowds.
  5. Along the coast from Neos Marmaras towards Las Bandidas beach, there are numerous small coves and beaches without crowds. The sea here is not turquoise, but there is a bit more natural shade.
  6. Elia Beach - this beach is 2km long and located between Nikiti and Neos Marmaras. The beach is mostly narrow and has natural shade\, offering small coves where you can settle if you seek peace and isolation from the crowds.
  7. Goa - an organized beach near Sarti. With a light chill-out music\, this beach is great for those who do not like crowds and children’s noise.
  8. Coves and beaches between Trani Ammouda and Pirgadikia also hide many beautiful spots for those who love solitude.

If you do not like crowds and are vacationing in July and August in Sithonia, simply get in the car and start exploring around Sithonia. There are truly many coves and beaches with very few tourists. Among the popular beaches, the following beaches have slightly fewer crowds:

  1. Trani Ammouda due to its spaciousness.
  2. Fava, because it is not organized.
  3. City beaches in Toroni and Sarti, as they are very long and wide.
  4. Lagomandra, because it is large.
  5. Armenistis, because there is an entrance fee.
