If you are in Thassos, you can also visit the market in Prinos; a small market with local products, but also a great opportunity for shopping and visiting the surrounding villages.

Thassos market day is Monday and the market is in Prinos and is open from about 8am to 1pm.

There are market counters with clothes, fruits and vegetables, a smaller selection of dried and dairy products, linens, curtains, but also olive oil and homemade olive products, honey…

The market is small and there is no great choice of clothes or other things, but the prices of fruits and vegetables are slightly lower than the supermarkets.

It is very difficult to find parking near the market on Mondays, so we recommend you go early.

All in all, you do not miss anything significant if you do not visit it. However, if you decide to visit the market in Prinos, then you can use that departure to visit the village of Kazaviti, the monastery of St. Panteleimon, but also the most beautiful part of Prinos called Dasilio.
