Our description
Alegria is a very nice and quality accommodation on a great location, with big parking which is free of charge and sea view. It is located on the one of the most popular beaches on the island, Golden Beach.
Accommodation is located in Skala Panagia, known as Golden Beach, near to the beach, right next to the tavern Korifi.
Alegria Studios consists of four studios Each of them has a fully equipped kitchen, air conditioning and a safe box. The living area in most studios is 30m2, except from one studio which is 27m2.
All studios are almost identical. They have a king size double bed, a sofa or an arm chair that folds out and a private balcony with a sea view. When you fold out the sofa, the width of the bed is smaller than a standard double bed, about 1.40m.
Cleaning is done every day, while towels and bed linen are changed every fourth day.
In a very nice landscaped garden there is a playground for children with seesaws, swings and slides, and there is a barbecue also.
Next to the house there are free parking spaces.
The nearest supermarket that is also selling bakery products is ten minute by foot.
Alegria Studios is an excellent choice if you want accommodation just a step away from the beach and all amenities around.

Studios Alegria is just a breath away from the beach and provides you with all you need for having the time of your life on Thassos.
Newly built, spacious apartments, lovely garden, just by the sea, these are only few of what you should expect from Alegria Studios. The construction of Alegria Studios was completed in June 2014. It was built on the wonderful Golden Beach, it guarantees to all its guests, a view to the all blue sea of the Aegean and to the golden and literally immense sandy beach from all the rooms.
Our apartments were built considering the needs of the traveler that wants to relax by the sea and enjoy the nature. As Golden beach is the largest and most beautiful beach in Thassos, awarded with blue flag, it is also the most developed regarding facilities and services. At the same time it retains its natural beauty. Restaurants, cafes, shops, car rental, water sports etc are all in a walking distance.
Studios Alegria are located in the center of Golden Beach.
They are very close to the sea and are surrounded by tall pine trees. The nearby area offers everything you’ll need for a pleasant stay such as supermarket, beach bar, cafes, restaurants and taverns, car rentals.
Very close to Studios Alegria there is also the camping of Golden Beach, water sports and bus stop.
Just 4km away, the traditional village of Panagia with the picturesque streets is situated, and after that in a distance of about 12km you will find the capital of the island where the main port is located.

How to get here:
From Thassos port you will take the road heading to the village Panagia. Before entering the village, follow the road on the left to Golden Beach. Once you arrive, keep driving a few meters straight up to the intersection where you will see the church of Agia Paraskevi. There, turn right and then left. You have arrived at Studios Alegria.

Golden beach is the longest sandy beach in the northeast part of the island. A beautiful bay with crystal clear waters that took its name from the endless sandy beach which has golden color when illuminated by the sun.
Popular, crowded beach with shallow waters, organized almost at the entire length and Blue flag awarded.
Lately it has been developed with quality accommodations. In the area of Golden beach will find everything you need for a relaxing holiday.
Firstly, there are many places to eat for all tastes, with fish restaurants, snack bars, pizzerias and gourmet restaurants. Some of them have live music and Greek nights are frequently scheduled. Furthermore there are supermarkets and shops selling souvenirs and traditional products of Thassos.
Throughout the beach, along its length, you will find many beach bars and cafes with refreshing cocktails and drinks, while most of the shops serve food and sweets even at the beach.
If you want to visit other regions as well and you do not have your own transportation there are businesses that rent bikes, motorbikes and cars at affordable prices. There is also taxi and bus stop if you don’t want to drive.
Furthermore, there is a tourist train starting from Golden Beach which tours at the surrounding areas and makes stops letting the visitor see the attractions and other interesting things of the place.
In the center of Golden Beach lies the camping Golden Beach. An organized company providing sports facilities for all sports enthusiasts as basketball, football, beach volley with free entrance. Moreover, during the summer in the field of camping many events take place.
In addition, at Golden Beach businesses with water sports operate. With the aid of experienced trainers you will be able to enjoy the sports game you like safely and spend relaxing moments while enjoying the sea breeze.
For nature lovers, there are many paths for enjoyable excursions to the countryside and hiking trails for excursions in the beautiful mountains which foothills reach the sea. Very near Golden Beach, just 5 minutes walking distance, there is the picturesque little harbor with its traditional small houses of fishermen and fishing boats, such a beautiful landscape with a small hidden sandy beach, worth to visit and photograph.

Cancellation and payment policy
Deposit of 30% is required to confirm the reservation. Remaining balance should be payed first day upon arrival. If cancelled 21 or more days prior to arrival, paid money will be fully refunded. If cancelled at any time later, paid money is non-refundable. In the case of early departure, 50% of remaining days will be charged.

Upravo smo se vratili, proveli smo 11 noći u apartmanu broj 4, na 2. spratu Alegria Studios. Smeštaj ima vrlina i mana. Velika vrlina je to što je higijena na višem nivou od onog na koji smo generalno navikli u Grčkoj (letujemo u Grčkoj dugi niz godina, na Tasosu tri), posteljina i peškiri se menjaju na dva dana, kada se i studio kompletno sređuje. Kuća je praktično na plaži, ali ne na samoj, jer tu su taverne i beach barovi. Studio ima pravu tuš kabinu, što je retkost u Grčkoj. Odlično opremljen market je na 300 metara a dobra taverna Korifi je kuća pored. Kada su mane u pitanju, prva je što u ponudi stoji da je stoji da studio ima internet, a zapravo nema. Za internet se morate spustiti ispred vlasnicine kuće, u studiju 4 ga nema uopšte. Sef, koji vidite na slici i u odeljku amenities ne radi, dakle nemate ga. Bračni krevet je nestandardno mali, 140x195, pa ako ste krupan par kao mi, problematično je odmoriti se na tako malom krevetu. Gazdarica ne govori engleski, što je baš mana, jer je jako teško sporazumeti se sa njom, za bilo šta. Sreća pa nam nije prvi put na Tasosu, pa smo znali kako stvari idu, inače ne bismo dobili nikakav savet od nje. Engleski nije problematičan samo zbog saveta, već kada smo joj prvog dana rekli da interneta u studiju nema a da sef ne radi, dobili smo samo odgovor "problem" i to je bilo to. Za 800+ evra koliko smo platili samo smeštaj početkom septembra, očekivali smo da što je u izlogu, bude i u radnji. Naš subjektivni utisak je da ovaj smeštaj nikako ne može biti luksuzan, jer se radi o manjem studiju, sa standardnom terasom. Takođe, ako volite rano uveče da legnete, onda možda ovaj smeštaj i nije za vas, jer riblja taverna Pefka na koju gleda kuća ima živu muziku, utorkom, četvrtkom, petkom i subotom koja traje najmanje do ponoći pa tako nećete moći da zaspite. Sve u svemu, Golden beach je sjajno otkriće u odnosu na Limenariju gde smo ranijih godina bili smešteni, vratićemo se sigurno, ali ne u ovaj smeštaj. I jedan savet, pronađite beach bar Cielo, gde naravno uz konzumaciju možete dobiti ležaljke umesto Pefke gde plaćate i ležaljke i piće.

We`ve just returned, we spent 11 nights in apartment number 4 on the 2nd floor of Alegria Studios. Accommodation has virtue and flaws. The great virtue is that hygiene is at a higher level than the one we generally accustomed to in Greece (we are spending our vacations in Greece for many years, at Thassos three), linens and towels are changed for two days, when the studio is completely cleaned. The house is practically on the beach, but not on first row, because there are taverns and beach bars. The studio has a real shower cabin, which is a rarity in Greece. The well-equipped market is 300 meters away and a good tavern Korifi is a house next to it. When it comes to disadvantages, they offer internet in studios but actually there isn’t any. For the Internet you have to exit house and go in front of the owner of the house. The safe, which you see in the picture and in the amenities section does not work, therefore you do not have it. The double bed is unusually small, 140x195, so if you are a big pair like us, it's difficult to rest on such a small bed. The landlord does not speak English, which is very bad, because it is very difficult to get in touch with her, for anything. This wasn’t our first time at Thassos, so we knew how things are going; otherwise we would not receive any advice from her. English is not just problematic because of advices, but when we first told her on the first day that there is no Internet in the studio and that the safe does not work, we only got the answer "problem" and that was it. For 800+ euros, how much did we pay for accommodation only at the beginning of September; we expected that what is in the showroom is in the store. Our subjective impression is that this accommodation cannot be luxurious, since it is a smaller studio, with a standard terrace. Also, if you love early in the evening to lie down, then perhaps this accommodation is not for you, because the Fish Tavern Pefka on which the house is watching has live music, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays that lasts at least until midnight so you will not be able to fall asleep. All in all, Golden Beach is a great discovery compared to the Limenaria where we were accommodated in the previous years, we will return safely, but not in this accommodation. And one advice, find the Cielo Beach Bar, where you can, of course, eat deckchairs instead of Pefka, where you pay for sunbeds and drinks.
