Our family stay at Jordanis Houses was from August 19 to 29, 2018. I must share a few pieces of information so that future users of this type of service are better informed. First, the properties are located 100 meters from the beach, not 50 meters as stated on the website (verified/measured). I must emphasize that the accommodation units are on a hill with quite a steep ascent, which can be quite problematic if you have small children. The mentioned yard is in front of the owner's apartment and it is not very pleasant for children to play there as it leads to a road that goes to the main street, which is very steep, and the main gate is always open. The main road is very busy. Communication with the owners is nearly impossible as they only speak Greek and a few words in Serbian and English. Their son speaks English and Bulgarian but is not present as he lives in Bulgaria. The owner of Jordanis is a very nice man and he truly cares about his guests. The owner’s wife is also a good person, but she needs to understand that all guests are equal since they all pay for this service. I am writing this because we had a small misunderstanding that I will explain. On the third day, there was an issue with the hot water disappearing in the middle of a shower, so we had to politely ask her to turn on the boiler, wait 20 minutes for the water to heat up, and then continue showering. After my reaction, she waited for us to return from the beach every day to turn on the boiler to avoid any arguments. After that, she would turn off the boiler, so if you want to take a shower during the night, you will have to do it with cold water. After this incident, the owner’s wife was a bit upset with us because we complained to Nikana about this. On the last day, she didn’t even turn on the boiler, but we calmed down a bit because there was no point in discussing the same issues again. I believe that guests should receive full service in this type of accommodation at quite high prices. I think this accommodation is highly overrated and does not justify the money. Psili Ammos beach is probably the best beach in Thassos, but like all others, it is overcrowded with sunbeds and umbrellas for which you have to pay or buy something, but that is not the point... We were in Thassos 10 years ago and the beaches had that true beauty. But now it was different, very changed, quite unclean... All in all, we had an excellent vacation in decent accommodation that needs to make a lot of effort to justify the price/quality. I cannot recommend this accommodation at the offered prices!

Jordanis and his wife Koula are the best hosts we have ever had (and we have had quite a few). They are exceptionally kind, friendly, accommodating, and warm-hearted individuals. Almost every day, they brought us cookies, fritters... The accommodation is exactly as described on the website. Everything is neat, clean, and still smells new. The interior architecture is very beautiful, with beams on the ceiling. The large space in front offers a fantastic view of the bay. The outdoor shower has hot water, allowing you to enjoy a shower in the evening while watching the stunning sunsets. The beach is vast. I would say it consists of four parts. Two central areas are crowded with sunbeds and busy, while two peripheral parts are quieter. We do not like crowds, so we mostly stayed in the peripheral areas, which also have some natural shade. Looking from the sea, to the left of the central sandy beach, there is a large natural shade area with sunbeds that you can rent with a drink. To the right, there are rocks where you can also find natural shade, but in smaller areas. Entering the sea from the rocks is easy for those who can jump, but for exiting, you need to choose a suitable spot since the rocks near the sea are sharp. Of course, you can always use the sandy beach area right there for entering/exiting. The water is clear and warm. Regarding shopping, you need to go to Astris or even better, Potos. The kiosk mentioned in the description is just a kiosk. In front, there is a box with ice cream, and inside, there are only snacks. You cannot buy bread, milk, or other essentials there. I hope my comments and descriptions will be useful to someone.

This year, we visited Tasos for the first time, and it was absolutely beautiful. Jordanis and Kula are wonderful hosts, very kind and accommodating. Everything is well-maintained, making the surroundings neat and clean. The delightful scents of the sea, olives, lavender, and various other herbs fill the air. The house is located just across from Psili Ammos beach. We traveled with a small child, so we needed accommodation that allowed us to easily return from the beach. We thought we would explore the island more, but the beach was so lovely, and the view from the terrace... we ended up getting a bit lazy. It's fantastic that they have an outdoor shower with constantly warm water, allowing us to keep bathing outside (which I loved because it meant we didn't make a mess in the bathroom). If you don't plan to cook, be aware that there are two restaurants available (one on the beach and one on the main road), but for everything else, you need to drive to places like Potos... so you can't do without a car.

The location is excellent if you are going to the sea for the sake of the sea itself, rather than for shopping, entertainment, and the circus that Potos offers. The bungalow is small, but it was more than sufficient for two adults and two small children, especially since you not only have a terrace but an entire yard when you step out of the bungalow, along with a lovely view of the sea and part of the beach. Peace, tranquility, beautiful views, pure delight! The hosts are wonderful. They do not speak English (only the son does, but he is not always around), yet we managed to communicate somehow. Everything is good and anything is possible. They even bought us a crib, which deserves all the praise. Additionally, we arrived a day later than planned, and they refused to charge us for the reserved night we did not use. Their directness, cheerfulness, and helpfulness made our stay even more pleasant. The beach is phenomenal, with natural shade, umbrellas, rocks, sand, a bar, restaurants... whatever you like... Occasionally, the overly loud and annoying tuc-tuc music might be bothersome (unless you enjoy it). The best part is that you can reach it in just two minutes. All in all, a warm recommendation for this accommodation.
