Xiropotamos beach is one of the beaches on Athos that is located near the town of Ierissos, although wherever you spend your summer on Athos you will not be far away. It is less than 6 km from Jerisos, and you can easily find it on the map.

It is a very long sandy beach with a couple of bars and canteens. You can use the sunbeds and umbrellas at the canteen at the beginning of the beach for free if you order a drink, and the prices here are much more reasonable than in other parts of Greece. Here, for example, coffee costs €2.5, which is the same as beer, and at good prices you can also find food, some souvlaki, salad… As we said, the beach is long and there is quite enough space where you can freely place your things and an umbrella.

The beach is sandy, very long and shallow, and the sea is crystal clear and transparent.

In the back of the beach there is a parking space, which is quite enough. There is no natural shade on the beach, but since it is sandy and long shallow, many families with children come here, so if you go on vacation with little ones, they will surely find company here.

As Athos is not such a popular destination, even in the height of the season, this beach is not crowded. The beach is positioned so that it overlooks the island of Ammouliani and is an excellent destination for real enjoyment and relaxation.

In the canteen, but also in the bars, in addition to drinks, you can order some food, and there are also showers and cabins as well as toilets available to all visitors.
