All around the island, there is a very good road with two lanes. This road is mostly by the sea, which makes rides on the island special pleasure. There aren’t dangerous parts. Section of the road Limenas - Skala Maries has a few curves and slopes. It is part that is the easiest to drive, except for the parts that are going through the populated places. From Skala Maries to the entrance to Limenaria there is a short distance with very tight bends. Then from Limenaria until the Astris there aren’t so many curves. From the monastery of St. Archangel Michail, above Livadi bay, curves become frequent and incline become steeper.
The hardest part with plenty of “elbow” curves and substantial inclines is from Skala Potamia and Golden Beach to the Panagia mountain village further to Limenas.
Although the traffic police and radar control generally do not exist, for your own safety and the safety of others on the road, it is desirable not to drive fast, especially not through settlements and the already mentioned places.
If possible, avoid night driving on the island because the road from one place to another is not illuminated.
