Lagonisi beach

Lagonisi is one of the most beautiful beaches in Sithonia, where the majority of the beach belongs to a beach bar.

It is located 2km from Ormos Panagias towards Vourvourou.

How to get to the beach

It is well marked so you can easily find it. When you turn off the main road at the sign that says Lagonisi, you first come across a parking lot owned by the beach bar where you can park if you plan to use their sunbeds and umbrellas. If you continue to the right on the dirt road, you will find a space for free parking without any obligation towards the bar.

The free parking lot is smaller, so it may be full during the season.

Entrance to the beach is charged, and the price depends on which row towards the sea you want to sit in.

If you decide to sit on the sunbeds in the first row by the sea, the entrance fee is 15€ per person, in the second and third row the sunbed rental costs 10€ per person, while in the rest of the beach the entrance fee is 5€ per person.

This price includes sitting on sunbeds under an umbrella, using their parking lot, toilets, showers, and internet. Part of the parking lot is shaded, but there is very little space so if you want to find that spot, you have to arrive early.

Bringing food and drinks is not allowed, and all food and drinks consumed on the beach must be ordered at the bar.

On the right side of the beach, facing the sea, where there is natural shade, there are no umbrellas or sunbeds. In this area, if you find a free spot, you can set up your own equipment without the obligation to use the bar’s services.

This small part of the beach is available to visitors with their own beach equipment, and crowds are common.

Beach description:

Lagonisi also has another cove, located to the left of the bar, to the side of the central beach, and it is also available to all visitors with their own equipment. This little cove is beautiful. If you want to visit it, we recommend you go early.

Lagonisi beach has very fine sand and sandy bottom, a long shallow area, and beautiful turquoise sea.

The water is very clear, crystal clear, and because of the light-colored sand, it has a gentle, light blue color.

The beach’s surroundings are not yet developed, but since they are also leased to the owners of the beach bar, there are plans to build accommodation facilities, a pool, another bar, a beach volleyball court…

Opposite the beach is the island of Diaporos so the beach is protected from the wind and the sea is usually calm and wave-free. Crowds are larger during the weekend, so it is best to visit on weekdays or early in the morning to find a suitable spot for yourself and your family.
