Description of Dionisiu Beach:

• For families: a long sandy beach with shallow waters, suitable for children and relaxed swimming
• Location: between Nea Mudanje and Nea Plagia, Halkidiki
• Swimming: fine sand, shallow and calm sea, without crowds on most of the coast
• Access: easily accessible, accommodations are close by and the terrain is flat

Detailed description:

This coast is mostly sandy, with only a few rocky entrances. The beach has a long shallow area and plenty of space for all visitors, so there is usually no crowding. Towards Nea Mudanje, a water park is usually set up during the season, so this can be a great opportunity for fun with children. However, we must mention that permits for the water park are obtained before each season, so the presence of it cannot be predicted with certainty.

The area itself has shops, bakeries, and plenty of restaurants and beach bars along the entire promenade, which is characterized by palm trees and flowers. All accommodations are on flat ground and not far from the beach.

In addition to the excellent beach, Paralia Dionisiu also has a large park with children’s facilities (swings, slides) near the beach.

The beach is connected to the beach in Nea Mudanje, so this can be a great opportunity for exploring, walking, and shopping in larger supermarkets in this town.

Nearby Nea Plagia and Nea Flogita are places connected by the coast, as well as a long and very wide sandy beach, perfect for families with children. Nea Flogita is only a 7-minute drive away and has more evening activities, so it can be a good option for evening walks. Like Nea Mudanje, it is a town that is lively throughout the season.

In the village itself, there is a very beautiful church of Saint John the Baptist the Forerunner.

From late August to early September (usually from 29.08. to 04.09. but dates are announced every year), the largest fair in northern Greece is held in the village of Agios Mamas (at the root of Kassandra), which is not far and you can visit it. Read more about it here.
